NEW FUNDAMENTALS NO-GI PROGRAM

Strong fundamentals is a REQUIREMENT here at Mattix Academy!

This program focuses on:

1. Understanding how to practice Jiu Jitsu in SAFE way, keeping you and your training partners safe from injury.
2. Understanding Jiu Jitsu through 3 basic principles: CONNECTION, TIMING, WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
3. How to properly apply techniques on your training partners and to learn the very important role of being a proper training partner(Action/Reaction)

Starting Jiu Jitsu can be challenging, but with the right guidance, you will be equipped properly to handle the challenges to come on this long and amazing journey!
Coach Ricky and the other instructors here at Mattix Academy will make sure that every student who enters Mattix can see themselves learning Jiu Jitsu in a safe and productive environment.

I finally got the chance to meet the Slovakian side of the Mattix Family. A team that started in 2020 under the guidance of The experience was almost surreal. To think that somebody can start here in Davie, FL become a black belt and then extend the team all the way to the other side of the map is so amazing. It really takes someone like him, too, a very dedicated person who is willing to sacrifice a lot to create a lot. Congratulations on your first degree, Matt!

To : it was a pleasure to meet you guys. Training with you all was an awesome experience, and remember to be consistent! The short-term satisfaction of Jiu Jitsu is cool, but the long-term results you receive from Jiu Jitsu is the goal! My professor says that he's never met someone who quit and was happy about it. Keep training, and I hope to see you guys again in the near future!

We already have a decade of memories together because of Jiu Jitsu and I look forward to many more brother man! This is still just the beginning! Oss!!!

This was a great weekend for Mattix Academy Davie! Team Mattix went 3 for 3 this Friday at Fight to Win 243 ! Thank you everybody for the support, we had the whole squad there! Coach , Coach and Coach went out and represented! It was also awesome to have the whole squad there supporting, it made the night so much better! Thank you for always giving our team the opportunity to display our skills! Justin and I also finished with the same submission 😉

The next day a lot of our kid competitors competed at the in Coral Springs. There were a lot of victories and a few losses but overall an amazing experience as always with this team. Coach also went and put in work earning his gold medal in his first blue belt competion! Good work!
Also, congratulations to on his gold in the Gi, it’s awesome seeing you progress!

Team Mattix just keeps getting stronger! Oss!
