It’s not just a hamstring exercise.. Think backside of the core with anti-rotational demands 🚀
👉🏼 Long-lever, single-leg hamstring isometrics create high levels of tension at a longer muscle length. Add a heavy med ball moving dynamically overhead and you’re asking the body to do much more.
The hamstring has to anchor the pelvis while the trunk controls a changing load. ⚠️ This is more challenging than it looks. Please progress through appropriate progressions!
You’re training:
• Long-length hamstring strength
• Lumbopelvic control
• Trunk stiffness under movement
• Anti-extension and anti-rotation
• Unilateral force production
The goal isn’t simply to hold the bridge.
The goal is to maintain position, control the pelvis and ribs, and produce force while the rest of the system is moving.
