This past weekend was extremely bittersweet as our 2025/26 dance team competed in their last competition of our season.
We were down a couple of dancers due to illness and injury and the dancers did a phenomenal job, despite having to make last-minute changes to almost all of our group routines.
They took home top in category, judges choice, overalls and stand out awards. And while I am extremely proud of all of the hard work, they put in this season and their accomplishments, that is not why I am creating this post.

What we saw over the weekend was so much more. We saw amazing, kind, funny, supportive, bright young ladies there to celebrate each other, support one another, comfort each other. They were there to hold hands, dry tears, fix makeup, do hair, help with costumes and of course cheer each other on from the wings of the stage and audience! We are so truly blessed to have these absolutely amazing kids on our team!

We had several routines win 1st in category and placements in the overalls, but we wanted to give some shoutouts to routines that won extra special awards!

💘 $300 scholarship: “Derniere Danse” — Ruby and Diamond mixed group routine.

💎 Golden Tickets: “Groove is in the Heart” — Ruby jazz routine, “The Night We Met,” — advanced contemporary group and “Welcome to the Jungle” — production.
