Raasleela is UC Davis's official competitive Raas-Garba team. These lively and energetic dances originated in Gujarat, India.
Founded in 2014, Raasleela incorporates the traditional folk dance styles of Garba and Raas, also known as Dandiya. As a member of the collegiate Raas-Garba circuit, Raasleela competes nationally every year with teams from universities all over the country. Through our passion for dance, we hope to cultivate an on-campus family, showcase our high energy and uniqueness, as well as entertain and inform the public about this beautiful tradition.
