Aggie Polo Club at UC Davis

Yesterday afternoon we lost our beloved horse Marley. While all of our horses are special, Marley was truly one of our most adored polo ponies. He was a donation to our club, and from the beginning he impressed us with his kindness, patience, and heart.

Yesterday he passed away suddenly and painlessly. Our herd veterinarian says it was harder on us than it was on him. He will be missed by all, as he was truly a horse that could do everything. Hello Polo fans! In honor of (well now we’re closer to “We ❤️ UCD Polo Wednesday” 😂), we are reaching out to our community for support in sustaining and expanding our program. Our program opens the door to a sport that is often financially out of reach, giving students a chance to learn horsemanship, teamwork, and leadership. In addition, the Aggie Polo Club at UC Davis gives advanced players and varsity athletes the chance to compete against USPA teams across the nation.

Your donation will help us keep membership dues affordable for students, improve our lesson program equipment, establish an emergency veterinary fund for our wonderful ponies, and help our varsity team compete nationwide!

Introducing the PTF Intercollegiate and Interscholastic Female Players of the Year, Maya Tantuwaya and Elise Pardue. Our program is beaming to have a current freshman and recent alumni be awarded this honor. Maya is a founding member of the Aggie Polo Club and a legend in Davis. Her legacy on this team is something we continue to cherish as Maya was a great friend, hilarious confidant and an inspiring athlete. With the new addition of freshman Elise Pardue, our team has undergone huge leaps and her addition to the roster is something we look forward to seeing this season. Congratulations to you both, GO AGGIES! These veins run blue and gold 💙💛
