Hi everyone! Tryouts have been moved to Dairy Field tonight, located at 135 Dairy Rd on campus. Due to the high volume of signups we’ve also split everyone into groups, so if you have not received an email yet detailing what group you’re in that means you aren’t properly registered so be sure to fill out the form in our bio and/or email [email protected]. INFORMATION (must read in its entirety):

⚽️ They will be held at the UC Davis Health Stadium, which is also the football stadium. Please enter under the archway on Hutchinson Drive.

⚽️ Attendance on the first day is mandatory, following which we will make daily cuts via email.

⚽️ There will be a mandatory fee of $10 which can be paid via venmo or cash upon arrival on the first night.

⚽️ Finally, make sure to fill out the form in our bio to speed up the registration process on Day 1!

Get to know our new club President Leela and a little more info about our team 💫

Hi everyone, I’m Leela and I’m the UC Davis Women’s Club Soccer President this year! I am a current Senior studying Applied Math and have been on the club soccer team since my first year at Davis. I play attacking/defensive center mid and love a competitive game of flying changes😎

Just to briefly introduce our club, we’re a competitive program that practices three times a week, competes in weekend matches and travels to regional tournaments, striving to attend Nationals each year! We also happen to like each other ... we have lots of social events and team bonding and in that way you are really joining a campus club and a team in one. We’ll be doing a Q&A on the Instagram soon so you can send in specific questions but feel free to email me at [email protected] at any point.

I’m excited to see all of the talent at tryouts! We’re looking for people who are crazy about soccer and ready to bring that passion to the program. See you soon!🙌🏾

⚽️ Teams will compete in PAIRS. If you don’t have a partner, no worries, we can try and match you up with someone (but don’t Venmo us until we’ve confirmed your team).

⚽️ Entry cost is $15/team. All funds will be going to help the women’s club soccer team! :) Your registration will be confirmed once we’ve received a Venmo payment to . No refunds will be granted.

⚽️ The rules will shift throughout the stages of the tournament. All disputes over points are up to the referees, who will be members of our club.

Who is gonna save the moths mid practice now that this girl is graduating!? Congratulations to captain and Vice President Sophia Runte for graduating with a B.S. in Global Disease Biology and a minor in Global International Studies. Soph has been a fiery, game-changing presence in the back line since she joined us her freshman year, and her sharp anticipation, agility and pure defensive instincts have stopped countless attacks over her time with the team. She is known for her swift touches and explosive drives into the midfield, breaking lines with speed and composure. Most importantly, she is a goofy, uplifting person who you can’t help but be happy around, even if she is making you perform farting noises as a punishment after losing to her in a drill. 😶 Soph will be playing for FC Davis this summer before moving to Zambia in August where she’ll be a CHEP volunteer for the Peace Corps for two years, specializing as a Maternal, Child Health and HIV/AIDS educator. We love you Soph! Go buckwild on em. 😭💞

A huge, warm congratulations to our captain, President and MVP Alexis Rouza on graduating from UC Davis! Alexis has been the heart and soul of this team, and was voted MVP for good reason. Guiding the team through a tumultuous year with poise and passion, she was always dependable in every way, making some killer saves that kept us afloat in crucial moments. Whether it be pumping up the team with her groovy pregame music or setting the tone for kickoff with a grounding speech, Alexis always manages to lift her teammates up. Graduating with a double major in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Alexis will be moving to San Ramon to work for Carlson, Barbee & Gibson as a Staff Engineer. Words can’t express how much you will be missed, we love you and good luck with everything that the future holds 👑!!
