With very heavy hearts our flags have been at half mast this week.
On September 7, 2026 the world lost a very special man, William Doyle, or known to us as Mr. Bill.
We are going to miss his wit and wisdom, but take comfort in knowing that he is pain free and reunited with his beloved Dorothy.
Rest easy, Mr. Bill! Enjoy that golf course in the sky! 🇺🇸🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

When you work at a golf course people assume you check people in for tee times, manage a few staff, order merchandise. I can’t speak for everywhere else, but what some might be surprised to find is that we make friends, build relationships, care about our people who are walking through difficult times in life. We watch them endure and persevere through divorce, loss of a spouse, cancer, strokes, Alzheimer’s, surgeries. We celebrate marriages and grandchildren. Our regular people become a surrogate family.
We are grateful to have you all in our Chestatee family!❤️🙏🏼

It was an honor and privilege to have long time resident and golfer Ed Dietzel celebrate his 89th trip around the sun with us today. He even birdied hole 3!!

Coming up in September we will be hosting the Christopher Churchill Memorial golf tournament. Here is a link to their outing website. There spots left if you would like to join! It's for a great cause.

501(c)(3) charity golf tournament to raise money in honor of the life of Christopher Churchill, to fund cancer research at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
