🎆 NIGHT FIGHT: THE HIGHS, THE LOWS, AND AN UNFORGETTABLE ADVENTURE AT TRACKHOUSE 🌙🏁
This weekend showed what can be achieved when passion, preparation, commitment, and teamwork come together.
It was our first Night Fight. We had no previous data from the event, and our drivers had never raced in conditions like these — especially at night in heavy rain.
But we found the speed immediately, qualifying P4 for the heats.
Friday brought challenges. After Alex was hit in Heat 1, he finished P17, and we also discovered the engine was losing power. Despite the issue, he fought back to P8 in Heat 2, leaving us P22 for Saturday’s semifinal.
We kept working. By Saturday morning, after replacing the ignition coil and carburetor, we were the fastest kart on track again in warm-up.
Then the rain arrived.
After last-minute changes to adapt to the conditions, Alex delivered an incredible drive from P22 to P10 in the semifinal.
We went into the Final knowing we had the pace to keep fighting at the front. Night. Heavy rain. Five laps remaining…
Then the engine failed.
DNF.
That is racing. Sometimes you can do everything right and the result still doesn’t go your way.
But we leave Trackhouse proud. We proved that KartFreedom and CKR have the pace and the team to compete with some of the best in the country.
Huge thanks to Manny and Jacob for their tireless work, Liliana for the best media coverage in KartFreedom history, Dariia for coordinating everything throughout the event, and CKR Italy for their constant support, video and telemetry analysis.
Congratulations as well to Graeme and Austin on their Night Fight debuts. Both took on an incredibly competitive field and challenging conditions, gaining valuable experience along the way.
We leave Trackhouse stronger, more experienced, and confident that we’re moving in the right direction.
