Miami Valley Xpress 2014

💙❤️🤍 Bittersweet, but all good things must come to an end. Our girls played their last game together today at Berliner. From September 2024 ➡️now, these girls have hustled!

Thank you to our girls, parents, grandparents, sponsors and every other fan! It’s been a long year, so a short break for these girls before they move on to their next chapter of Softball in 10U or 12U.

Onwards and upwards…Xpress 2014 OUT✌🏻❤️💙🤍

Not the outcome we wanted, but we at least lost the champs of the tournament and these girls played hard all weekend going 4-1. In the skills challenge, Ashlynn Naegel won fastest pitch at 53 mph and Carolina Miller came in 2nd with 51 mph. Kaylee Hornung won the HR derby with 5 HRs out of 8 swings. Great individual work ladies!

Undefeated in pool play at the Great Lakes World Series and didnt give up a run in three games! So proud of these girls for executing on defense, pitching at a high level, and catching like all stars.

Hitting:
Team average - .491
2 in the park home runs... 1 by Avery McVicar and 1 by Carolina Miller

Defense:
NO RUNS ALLOWED and only 3 errors!

Catching:
6 stolen base attempts, and 3 girls thrown out!

Bracket play starts today at 330 and we are hot at the right time.

The rain wasn't our friend today but we got to celebrate our recent birthday girls after pool play yesterday. ☔🥎🚂

⚫️🟡ANNOUNCEMENT🟡⚫️
After completing our 10U season with Miami Valley Xpress, we will transition to the Ohio Hawks Fastpitch organization.

First, I want to thank Xpress President Alexis Harvey and Vice President Rodney Coffey for entrusting me to become a coach 3 years ago with their organization. They are great coaches and even better people to know, and I will forever be grateful to both of them.

Now I will share my gratitude for Ohio Hawks President Julie Joseforsky. She accepted my team/staff and offered us an opportunity to proudly step on the diamond with her colors.

All focus remains on finishing strong with Miami Valley Xpress and ending the season on the highest note possible before heading into 11U!

These girls played hard this weekend. Walking away 4 and 1 with lots of great hits, clutch plays and memories made. ✅❤️🥎1

Weekend Highlights:
Carolina Miller threw a NO HITTER with 14 STRIKEOUTS!!!!

Team Batting Average: .383 (23 Singles, 9 Doubles, 1 Triple)

Pitchers had 46 Strikeouts and only 14 walks over 23 innings pitched.

Catchers had 5 runners they caught stealing.

Who doesn't love a post practice craft night with the girls? 👩🏼‍🎨

Catch them clipping at Jerry Myers Firefighter Memorial Tournament this weekend. 👩🏼‍🚒🥎💕
