MVNU Women's Lacrosse

August is here & the Cougs have been busy this summer! Freshman Maddie Staton spending time with her mom, Senior Alison Vaulx enjoying the beach in Florida, Senior Baylee Holbrook enjoying Lake Michigan, Freshman Alyssa Humberson serving in the Dominican Republic, Senior Liberty Pennington conducting research this summer for Computational Biology (with the help of her pup), and Senior Madison Giaque hanging with some stingrays at the Columbus Zoo…just to give a few! We are back in action on September 9th. Can’t wait to be back together!

Still reflecting on this past season & gearing up for some Summer training, but couldn’t miss out on a chance to recognize these 4 individuals. Zoe and Alison were selected First Team All League (20 teams) and Liberty and Zayanna were selected for Second Team All League. Such deserving individuals, with talent & equally impressive characters and work ethics!

Zayanna is our POTG from Saturday. It’s a good day when defenders score goals. Zayanna helped keep the teams energy & was a key defender in our defense!

Wrapped up our season this weekend with a tough game. Man, did we play hard! Had many highlights, but just fell short against Dayton with a score of 10-8. Player of the Game to come here soon! 👀

Players of the Games from this past weekend have been determined! Meghan had 8 saves in a tight, back and forth, game against Dequesne! The pressure was on with several back to back penalties & she came through with the saves. Liberty also came in clutch with stats in several categories that helped lead the Cougs to victory in game 2 against SRU. 👏

Starting off this beautiful week with another 2026 commit for this upcoming season! Addi will be an offensive help to us, as well as a great culture fit to our program. We are excited to have you a part of the MVNU Lacrosse Family. 🤗
