The swing isn’t really about throwing the clubhead at the ball to hit it. Good players are moving the club through the ball toward the target, with the ball simply getting in the way. I always say this is the first time you can legally be out of control so swing the club!

A straight lead arm can be a useful result, however trying to rigidly hold it straight can create tension, restrict the swing and pull on your shoulder socket. Let the Performance Lab at FirstCutt help you get the most out of your golf game. Straight not locked!
There are about 5 misconceptions of the golf swing that stops people from improving. I’ve heard these for over 40 years and it can hurt your golf swing. 1️⃣ Keep you head down or keep your eye on the ball
The head shouldn’t be literally kept down. The body needs to rotate, extend, and shift naturally. Trying to keep the head still can restrict the turn and create poor contact. Yes we do keep the head somewhat still however too much movement laterally or vertical is bad. Just don’t lock it in place!
