As dubbed by Queen City... Tomorrow is Battle for I-75.

Captained by veteran scrum half Pete, the Flying Pigs are home Saturday at 1 PM against Queen City in the D3 matchup. Here is the squad!

Good group of boys in the lineup and another full bench ready to go. Come out to the Dayton Rugby Grounds and spend the afternoon with us with D3 kicking off at 1 PM after the Women and D4 conclude.

D4 kicks off at 11 AM, D3 at 1 PM.

The Killer Boars kick off at 11 AM against Lexington at the Dayton Rugby Grounds. We’ve got two full men’s sides this weekend and the roster is looking solid.

Come hang out and watch some rugby. Womens match simultaneously at 11. D3 at 1PM. Bring the kids, dogs, chairs, beer, whatever you need and settle in for the day.

Fall season is getting rolling and there’s still time to get in the lineup.

Practice tonight and Thursday from 6–8 PM at the Dayton Rugby Grounds as we get ready for a full Saturday at home. Both the D3 and D4 men are in action, along with the women for a three-match day at the Grounds.

If you’ve been thinking about coming out, this is a good week to do it. New players are still welcome and there’s rugby for every experience level. We’ll get you involved and get you ready to play.

Come get in the mix.

The D4 Killer Boars headed to Indianapolis this weekend to take on a big, physical Westside Outcasts side. DARC fell 47–22, but kept fighting to the end with an 80th-minute try from scrum half Nips to finish the day.

Several players earned their first caps with DARC, and the boys still picked up a four-try bonus point along the way. Big Aaron, Country, Hunter and Nips all crossed the line.

Man of the Match went to JR for his aggressive running and tackling all afternoon.

No match or team photos this time around, so enjoy a few from the social instead, where DARC took the third-half boat race and got a few songs in before heading home.

Back to work this week with a home triple header (D3/D4 + Women)

Here are a few photos from the first week of practice.

Good mix of new guys and returning players getting reps in, learning the game, competing, and having a good time doing it. Different ages, different experience levels, different backgrounds. That’s what makes the club work.

A lot of people think they need to know the game or get in shape before coming out. You don’t. Practice is where we break things down, teach the basics and get everyone involved. Rugby is competitive, but just as important is the community that comes with being part of a club and having a group of guys to train, play and hang out with every week.

Big thanks to Coaches Damon and Travis for putting in the work and getting everyone ready for the season.

D4 gets things started next Saturday, August 22 at Westside, IN; with both sides in action the following weekend. Plenty of home rugby at the Dayton Rugby Grounds throughout the fall.
