We are a family run, small business that specializes in anything skate and surf. Maui Nix Surf Shop was initially introduced to the sunshine state in 1989. We opened our first location across from the world's most famous beach, Daytona Beach FL. Since then, we have been dedicated to bringing our customers both the cutting-edge and classics in fashion, boards, and accessories. We are proud to feature well over 100 different surf and skate brands that lead the trends in our industry.

Throwback to August 2008!
The Rip Curl Right Coast Raid rolled into New Smyrna Beach with Mick Fanning, Taylor Knox, Tom Curren, and Pancho Sullivan, and Maui Nix was right in the middle of it.
The event was orchestrated by Dylan Slater, Rip Curl’s Head of Marketing at the time, bringing the Right Coast Raid crew to New Smyrna Beach for a weekend that people around here still remember.
On August 22, we hosted an in-store signing that brought out over 300 people. The weather was anything but cooperative with tropical storms rolling through that afternoon and evening. As Fanning told SURFER Magazine at the time, “I was blown away by the amount of people there. 20 inches of rain, tropical storms, natural disasters don’t stop these people. It’s epic.”
That night, the Maui Nix crew joined the surfers for dinner before the party continued at New Smyrna Tavern, where Tom Curren made a surprise musical appearance. One song turned into a 25-minute set in front of an ecstatic crowd.
The following day, it was time to surf. Four local surf shops (Quiet Flight, Red Dog, Maui Nix, and Inlet Charlies) assembled teams, each with one Right Coast Raid pro representing them.
Taylor Knox drew the Maui Nix jersey, and when the final horn sounded, Maui Nix took the win 🏆
A packed shop, a tropical storm, four of the best surfers in the world, a surprise Tom Curren jam session, and a Maui Nix victory in New Smyrna Beach.
