The Pomps are slowly coming north. You can catch some now in Volusia County and South. Fresh Dead Shrimp, Fishbites & Blue Crab knuckles are Pompano favorites to chew on. If we can keep the warm weather & a south, southeast wind, the full-blown Spring Pompano Run will be in effect. That is probably about a week or less away. Hopefully, the stores will keep their peg hooks full of rigs when it hits & they have plenty of the above-mentioned baits....that will create a successful & profitable Pomp Run!!
