New folks, sign up for the Intro to Pilates 30-minute class offering! There’s now a Saturday morning 8:15am, this Saturday 9/12 and later this month 9/26. It’s $15 per person, helps you get familiar with the equipment and the fundamental Pilates exercises such as the Hundred ✨

STRETCH into Fri-yay!

Ballet stretches with fuzzies on the Cadillac for an awesome Friday!

Sliding hamstring stretch
Into
Side ballet stretch
Into
Arabesque!

Then the other leg and my left side sure felt different 🫠🥴💥 I glance to the side to spot my hips and progress and smile when the tension spots release out!

Video sped up some and ofc interesting facial expressions are normal as you feel the various areas light up 💡

Strength with controlled stretch for happy hips 😊😊😊 a Pilates yummy treat!

Pilates is a bit like Rome, in that it may take someone years to get to the point to be ready to do the Teaser exercise like I’m holding on slide 6. You have to build transverse abdominals one layer one exercise one breath at a time.

Not overnight.
Sorry not sorry.

Finding your best magnificent self is possible, I’ll instruct you through the exercises to get there.

A fabulous mat workout followed by a workshop, yes 👏 Thank you Lesley Logan, Jayhawk Club, Balanced Body and OPC for a super awesome afternoon. Love all the nitty gritty details that we learned which will help us (me as your instructor, you as you and also me with my workouts) during a difficult Pilates exercise known as the Teaser 🔥😊💛

Coordination is the Intermediate level Pilates exercise I’m demonstrating on the Reformer today.

During Coordination, we work to combine specific breathing with movement. First an inhale as arms and legs lengthen, then a hold of the breath while legs open and close, big deep exhale as the legs move back to table top and finally forearms raise back up to close the carriage.

Never tried Pilates? Don’t worry we will build up to this move with the Ab Series in a private session or novice class. Good news about Pilates is that it is fun yet challenging and we do limited reps with lots of variety so no way will you do 40 burpees here 🤣
