The spare shed has finally been cleared out from all the pop cans that have been donated. Which means... we need more pop cans. If you or anyone you know wants to donate your returnables to Dearborn High School softball, please let me know and we can arrange to pick them up.
We know that there are plenty of graduation parties coming up and there will be returnables galore, and that you don't really want to take them back to the store. Let us handle it for you.

🥎 Madison Shoff | Senior | Outfield
Our senior leader set the tone at the top of the lineup and anchored the outfield all season long. Madison was an absolute force, combining elite contact with explosive extra-base power and lightning speed on the bases. Thank you for an unforgettable senior year, Madison!

📊 SOPHOMORE SPOTLIGHT: THE LEAP! 📈
Talk about a sophomore surge! Today we are shining a light on four of our returning sophomores who put in the work and absolutely tore it up at the plate this season.
Growth isn't just about a few extra hits—it's about confidence, discipline, and stepping up when your team needs you. Look at how Angela Chidiac, Dania Taha, Mia Sanchez, and Sophia Ball elevated their games from last year:
Batting Average: The Quad combined for a massive +.691 increase in batting average! A special shoutout to Angela Chidiac, who accounted for a whopping +.348 of that jump all on her own! 🔥
On-Base Percentage (OBP): Getting on base wins games, and these four became absolute nightmares for opposing pitchers, combining to raise their OBP by an incredible +1.399 points! 👁️🥎
Moving from freshman to sophomore year varsity can be a tough transition, but these four proved they were more than ready for the challenge. The future of our offense is in incredibly good hands!
Put some 🙌 in the comments to celebrate their hard work!

Elite. Efficient. Just getting started. ⚡️
Freshman pitchers Lexi Archer and Victoria Lamb absolutely tore it up in the circle this year, combining for 140 Ks over 115 1/3 innings. That’s a staggering 1.21 strikeouts every single inning.
To put up those kinds of numbers in your debut high school season is nothing short of elite. The Pioneers are locked and loaded for the future!
Mix in the efficiency of Calyssa Post, and next year the Pioneers will be a force.

Yesterday, the Dearborn High Pioneers Softball team won their District Semifinal game against Crestwood 16-1, and then played a very good game against a good Melvindale team in the finals. Unfortunately, we came up on the wrong side of an 8-4 game.
With five freshmen in the starting lineup, and fourteen underclassmen on the roster, this is an extremely young team with an incredibly bright future. Every girl on the team contributed and played big roles in our season. It was a difficult end to the year, but there is nothing to be ashamed of.
Over the next several days we will be highlighting some of the team and individual, game, season and career accomplishments from this year. Stay tuned and see just how special this team actually was.

DHS Pioneers Softball has won three straight for the first time in at least the last four seasons. On Monday we attempt to go for Four against Western International, which will be a lot of fun since we know one of the girls. Should be pretty evenly matched.

The Past. The Present. The Future. 🧡🖤
In my four seasons leading DHS Softball (the 'Archer Era'), the circle has been defined by consistency and grit. Today, a new chapter was written.
Looking back at this photo from Kaitlyn Ruselink’s (Class of 2025) signing day, it’s a fitting image: Kaitlyn, our legendary lefty record-holder (16K), seated at the table, with Lexi Archer (Class of 2029) standing right behind her, watching history happen.
Today, Lexi officially joined that history. In just her fourth career start, she delivered a 12-strikeout performance—propelling her to the #2 spot on our historical leaderboard, sitting right behind the legend she was standing with in this picture.
From a lefty icon to a rising righty, the Pioneers pitching legacy is in good hands.

Our home games against Stevenson will now be played at Stevenson. This is becoming our home away from home as we have now played them at least four straight years in Livonia, including two sets of home games.
An entire senior class of Stevenson players have no idea where the DHS softball field is.
