🏁 Congratulations to Vincent Sarro, your 2026 Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars Rookie of the Year, presented by Columbus Energies!

Moving up from the Bandoleros as a former champion, Vincent embraced the challenge of a new division and made every lap a learning experience. His steady progress and growing speed earned him a top-10 finish in the championship standings—and Rookie of the Year honors!

With Vincent and his team relocating down south this offseason, we thank them for being part of our Seekonk Speedway family and wish them continued success in the next chapter of his racing career! 👏

Vincent’s Rookie of the Year honor will be awarded at the Fast Friday Awards Banquet at White’s of Westport on Sunday, November 22nd.

Good Morning everyone - The final Race Roundup of 2026!

Well that was quite a night on Friday! So much so, we had to delay this recap to recoup!

We were weather-watching all week. Will rain come through or not? Well it certainly did. Features were moved up to 6:30 as opposed to 7:00 on account of rain, so the night began a little differently. The night started well as we ran thru practice and qualifying. Vin was feeling good and ready and the car was in excellent shape. His times were right and he lands 13th out of a 16 car field.

Then Mother Nature decided to join the fun. The rain started a bit earlier than expected and it rained hard for a good 30 minutes. After a lengthy delay, we were ready to get to it.

But we weren’t in the clear yet; the night wore on and after a few of the other divisions finished their races, plus a cancellation of two divisions, we hit another rain delay as a remnant squall passed thru. Fortunately this was much quicker and the track did not need any additional maintenance.

Finally, at 11:00 pm, the Legends hit the track. By this point, everyone was exhausted, even Vin. But once he got out on the track it was go time! A 30 lap race tonight, it was clean, with only two minor cautions late in the race. Starting in 13th, Vin looked good right out of the gate getting on his line and moving up a couple spots. A mid race spin sees him advance further and kept avoiding trouble. As he’s done all season, he kept it clean and brought it home in 9th for his third Top Ten of the year. An excellent finish.

A huge shout out to the track crews and officials for doing everything they could to get the track ready - they did an excellent job!

Our pit crew got it done again as always - Joey Wakefield and Frank Ingemi for getting the car it top shape after the damage from the last race. They always get it done.

And a monster shout out and congratulations to our boy Brody Wakefield Racing for taking home the win!

A bittersweet moment for sure. We’ll have a big announcement tomorrow, but for tonight, we’d love to see you all there! Vin is ready!

The right call. Championship night moved to next week, Oct. 2.

SEEKONK SPEEDWAY POSTPONES DAV CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND TO OCTOBER 2-3
SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway officials announced Thursday that D. Anthony Venditti Championship Weekend has been postponed to Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3 due to incoming inclement weather.

With a coastal storm expected to impact New England this weekend, track officials feel moving the entire weekend is best for competitors and fans alike.

Fast Friday championship racing will now take place on Friday, October 2, where six champions will be crowned beginning at 7 p.m. The conclusion of the NASCAR Saturday season has moved to Saturday, October 3, with all four NASCAR divisions crowning their champions on Bay Coast Bank night, which will begin at 6 p.m.

“We look forward to some bright sunshine and two beautiful fall evenings championship racing under the lights October 2 and 3,” David Alburn, Competition Director, said. “Many of our championship battles are going right down to the final lap of the final race, and we can’t wait to see who comes away with the championships for the 81st season of racing here at Seekonk Speedway.”

Fans can purchase tickets for championship weekend online at SeekonkSpeedway.com. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits and Outlaws, Sport 4s, Santos Recycling Pure Stocks, One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers and Nick’s Pit Stop Legends will crown their champions Friday. The Pro Stocks, Late Models, Sportsman and Sport Trucks will crown champions on Saturday.

Good afternoon everyone - Race Roundup 15 - Another wild one!

We were looking for a rebound from last week, and although it wasn’t the night we were hoping, we still rebounded. !

A beautiful late summer night at the track! Vin looked good in both practices, keeping his times where they needed to be. He felt good in the car after last week’s mishap and was ready to get after it in the feature.

Then trouble hit. Time Trials saw him get loose coming out of turn 2 and he slid a bit; didn’t hit anything but he still had trouble keeping the car in line so he pulled off and hit the pit.

We looked the car over, went thru our routine to double check the bolts and bars and found a couple bolts loosened up. We thought that was the fix.

It wasn’t.

Feature time. Vin is ready, but would remain cautious and feel the car out in the first few laps. Green flag drops and he’s having trouble right from the start. Same issue as time trials - sliding coming out of the turns and couldn’t get the stability he needed - but he did manage to keep the car in line enough to be able to finish the race in its entirety.

Turns out the axle was broken, leaving him with traction in one wheel instead of two. He wasn’t getting the grip he needed making it a very unstable situation. How he was able to run the race is a testament to his skill and talent as a driver. Pretty amazing.

Run what ya brung, and hope ya brung enough. Some nights there’s no truer words.

Well, not much to update on this race roundup, Vin was the recipient of collateral damage in lap 2 and that was it. DNF. Back end got hit pretty hard. But’s he good, so we’re grateful for that.

But them’s the breaks. To quote the great Dale Earnhardt: “You win some, you lose some, you wreck some.” That’s racing!

Still, some silver linings on the night; Qualified 6th fastest out of 16, landed 8th in qualifying and looked like he didn’t miss a beat even after the intermittence of the last few weeks.

As always, we’ll regroup, refocus and get back at it next week!

Good morning everyone - Race Round up 12! Another Top Ten!

Another good night at the track! After the rainout last week, Vin kept his head down and kept up his hustle.

Back on the track, his practice times were where they needed to be, so he was good and comfortable. A couple tweaks here and there and he lands in the 10th spot after qualifying. A relatively clean race without much drama, he does a good job avoiding some early contact, and also avoided a late spin. All in all he comes home no worse for wear in 10th. So a neutral night but a good one - back to back top tens!

With Labor Day weekend coming up we are taking a week off. As always we will regroup, refocus and we will see you all on the 11th.
