LOOK both ways. TWICE! Every single time!
I spent my Sunday evening in the trama unit at osf after a car ran a stop sign in front of me at approximately 4:30pm Sunday. I’m bruised and sore, but thankfully going to be okay. I was back in a cervical collar most of the night awaiting ct scan results. Thankfully nothing is broken and cars can be replaced.
9 years ago this coming Thursday is the anniversary of this exact same scenario happening to me, only that time, I was on a motorcycle and not near as lucky.
These accidents are absolutely avoidable. PLEASE, I beg you, remind yourself and your loved ones to take the extra few seconds to stop and double check.
The next few days are going to be rough, but I’m tough. Special shout out to my brother Terry for showing up for me. I appreciate you more than I can ever project.
With this, my 2026 season is officially over. I had planed to hit Coles County Speedway for the road to the dome race to try and race my way into the Gateway Dirt Nationals. That is no longer going to be possible. Thanks for all the support in 2026, we’ll see you in 2027.
