Hey parents! Are you wanting to be more involved with your kiddos swim?
We would love to have you on the SEALS board! We are looking for energetic parents to join our swim board this year! If you are interested please email us! Trust me it’s a ton a fun and a great way to learn more about what your swimmer does and be a part of the summer swim experience!

During your down time at the DP Seals Swim Meet on Saturday, June 11, you can see, and purchase, the amazing new, and classic, styles from amazing jewelry designer Kendra Scott! The Seals will receive a portion of funds earned from the sales.

Remember all the recent graduates you may still need to shop for, or think of the upcoming summer birthdays.

Make sure to stop and shop from 11am – 1pm at the Kendra Scott table near the concession area across from the DPHS Pool.

Hope you have all rested up and cooled down from the meet today! Way to swim fast! I'm sure there will be a lot of feedback this next week in practices to make your swimmers even better, but it was a good first showing. Also, please keep in mind if an emergency arises and you need to scratch your swimmer, we need an email stating the scratch sent to [email protected] BEFORE 5:30am day of meet. If we do not receive an email, your account will be charged $20 per swimmer no-show fee.

This is your reminder that the declarations for the upcoming Pearland meet AT Deer Park are due! No late entries will be accepted. Deadline is Sunday June 5, at 11:59pm. If you have any questions or issues please email us ASAP so we can get your swimmer declared. This will be another big meet but we will be INSIDE AND COOL this time so sign 'em up and let's have some fun!

Parents: please make sure you have declared your swimmer as ”attending” or “not attending” for next Saturday June 4th meet versus League City. We still have a lot of swimmers with no response and we WILL NOT be able to add them to the meet after tomorrow.
Please also make sure you sign up for a volunteer position at the meet. All parents are expected to volunteer or you will be charged and your swimmer will not be able to participate in the next meet. It takes a lot of people to keep these meets running. Thank you all for your help!

* Parents, please DO NOT walk down on the pool deck at any time. There are to only be SWIMMERS, COACHES, JUNIOR COACHES and SEALS BOARD MEMBERS who go beside the pool. Our liability insurance DOES NOT cover any injury for you during practices, etc.
We had a parent who walked down on the deck, then was stepping over the chain this evening and nearly fell.

Our first spirit night is coming! Join us at Jimmy Changa's for Taco Tuesday on May 3rd. Be sure to share the flyer with all your friends and family.

DP Seals due to scheduling conflicts practice times for Monday, May 2nd; Tuesday, May 3rd; and Wednesday May 4th have changed as follows.

There will be no 5pm practice time:
- ages 10 and under practice from 6pm to 7pm
-ages 11 and up practice 7pm to 8pm

*Caps will be handed out upon check-in so please arrive 15min early to your scheduled practice time.

There is NO PRACTICE scheduled for Thursday, May 5th and Friday May 6th. Practices will resume to their regular scheduled times on Monday, May 9th.

It’s suit try on day! All swimmers a required to come tonight between 5-7pm to try on their suit and receive their suit. There will not be a second tryon day or extra suits given to us so make sure you come by.

My name is Emily Little. I am a senior at Deer Park High School and I’m also on the Deer Park swim team. I was chosen to be captain of the high school swim team this year. My swimming experience started when i was in 7th grade when we had the junior high swim season come around. I loved swimming in junior high and i wanted to continue in high school. I have been on the team all 4 years. My favorite stoke is backstroke. This would be my first ever time to be a swim coach. Im excited to learn and grow from being a coach!

Hello everyone! My name is Rachel Wise, and I am SO excited to be a coach for the SEALS this summer! I am currently a freshman at Texas State University in San Marcos studying journalism and minoring in theatre. I’ve swum for 11 years and have loved every second of it! Let’s work hard, make friends, and have a fun season! : )

I have been swimming for the Battleground swim team for 10 years now. I swam with the seals for 8 years.

This is my second year coaching for Seals. I am also coaching with Battleground as well.

My name is Jared Lara. I have been involved in swim for the past 18 years. After High School I came back to La Porte Dogfish to assistant coach under my previous head coach. Shortly after I went to coach for Aquastar. Where I stayed for three years. I am very excited about this season, my main goal is to help the children grow in each stroke and have fun while doing it. In my eyes swim is the best sport for children because is shows you how to work by yourself as well as with your team.

As an executive board, we put a lot of thought into how we could enhance our summer swim program. Time after time, the conversation always came back to coaching. We interviewed several candidates looking for the perfect balance of knowledge, love of the sport and a genuine desire to build an amazing experience for each and every swimmer.

Two more days left of tryouts! Come see us tonight between 5-7pm or tomorrow morning between 9-11am at Deer Park High School South Campus. To tryout all you need to do is swim 25 yards unaided, do not worry about stroke, we will teach that, just get safely across the pool. Can’t wait to see you all at tryouts!
