Ecole de Danse has developed it's program to provide the finest training in classical ballet, pointe, modern, jazz and tap.
Although we realize that not all students desire to be professional dancers, the discipline, co-ordination, flexibility, and appreciation is invaluable. Our purpose is to provide a complete structured curriculum for the students, stressing a firm foundation of quality dance, regardless of his or her future plans in the field of dance.

There is a maturity that comes with time and age. The art of ballet is slowly losing it's sense of artistry and interpretation to the "tricks" of a new generation of "more". "More' hyper-extensions, turns, height of jumps.......when my director asked for more, it was "more" depth of feeling of emotion and connection with your partner or other corp members, "more" reach thru the arms and legs no matter the height your extension. Yes you work for the multiple turns, height of extensions and jumps, but not at the sacrifice of the artistry. No one leaves remembering the turns and jumps of Giselle(unless it's Misha), they remember Albrecht dropping the Lilies as Giselle's returns to her grave.................
Why Dance Needs Older Dancers Wendy Whelan’s post-retirement performance in Restless Creature celebrates maturity in an art form dominated by, and obsessed with, youth.

Tricks can only get you so far...........
Dance is art; not a series of "tricks" strung together to music. Enjoy the journey :-) --Rhee

"It's not about some ballets being more difficult than the others, even though the purely classical ballets are certainly the most difficult ones in physical terms. It's rather about your current feelings: sometimes I want to immerse into the atmosphere of Manon, The Lady of the Camellias, or Onegin, while at other times I feel like getting back to classics and adding what I have learned from other repertories. The contemporary dance experience enriches my classical performance – not only in terms of acting, but also physically, as it transforms the body, makes it more receptive, more plastic, more alive"

"Нет такого вопроса, тяжело или не тяжело, хотя, конечно, танцевать чистую классику всегда труднее по физической составляющей. Но иногда мне хочется погрузиться в совершенно другой репертуар — такой, как "Манон", "Дама с камелиями" и "Онегин", а иногда хочется вернуться в классику и добавить нечто, что пришло из другого репертуара"
