Some people walk into a room and quietly raise the level of everyone around them.

That’s Megan.

She shows up ready to work, never backs away from a challenge, and somehow manages to make the people next to her want to work a little harder too. She leads by example without ever needing the attention.

But what makes Megan special goes way beyond how hard she trains.

She’s the person who makes sure someone new feels welcome. The one cheering for the person next to her. The one helping turn a group of people who happen to work out at 5:30 into an actual 5:30 crew.

She’s an inspiration in the way she trains, but even more in the energy she brings with her.

Strong. Welcoming. Positive. A community builder. And, yes…a total boss.

Megan, GFX is better because you’re part of it.

The details are the brand.

I’ve always believed the little things aren’t really little.

The music.
The lighting.
The art.
The equipment.
The way the room feels at 6am.
The coaches who get to bring their own creativity.
The people who walk through the door and somehow become part of something.

None of it is accidental.

I never wanted GFX to be a gym where you come in, work out and leave.

I wanted it to have a personality. A culture. A heartbeat.

A place where you know the people next to you. Where you hang around after class. Where you feel like you belong.

A true third space.

Four years in, I’m still obsessing over the details. Still changing things. Still trying to make GFX more special.

Because I’m not trying to build another gym.

I’m building GFX.
