Although we haven’t been able to travel this summer due to my dog’s surgery and preparing for my son’s first year off to college, I’ve been enjoying my own hometown so much more! My own staycation! 🌊🏝☀️

One of my favorite things to do is take a long evening beach walk and go have early dinner and drinks 🍷 Simple but something I’ve truly been enjoying this summer ☺️

Happiness ~ sometimes it is the simple things, & sometimes it is right in your own backyard ✨

I know people talk about the “ Sunday Scaries,” but I truly believe in

“ Making preparation your separation!”

I loved that quote when I heard it recently on an podcast.

When we are prepared, we are less nervous, less anxious, less stressed out.
When we PREPARE for a presentation, sales pitch, speech, interview, conversation, we go in with a solid, strong mindset & the confidence to DELIVER.

Same is true about the beginning of each week. I actually start my Sunday prep on Friday afternoons (quick trip to Whole Foods). Once home, I make sure I get caught up on laundry. (2 biggies, not necessarily out of the way, but made a dent in these daunting tasks).

On Friday evenings I will organize my workout clothes for the weekend. On Saturdays, I usually work the morning, go for my run, then I make sure and have some self-care time (whether that is pedicure, acupuncture, trip to my favorite juice bar, or a fun little shopping spree👜👡)

Then, I get to spend time with my family and have a nice evening🥗🍷! (1)

Here’s to the weekend!🥂

I’m trying to soak up these last few weekends of August and enjoy the end of summer season🏖

One of the things I will miss, as fall approaches, is hangin’ around in my bikini 👙 & denim (cut offs or baggies👖…my go-to summer “look”) & warm evenings walking the beach or relaxing by the pool & whirlpool bath.

Have a consistent workout routine but not seeing any results?! 😤 One of the problems could be that you don’t have enough diversity in your workouts and fitness routines! 🏋🏼‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏊🏻‍♀️🏄🏼‍♀️

Variations in workout type, variations in weight/resistance, variation in exercises is SO important. Strive to reach muscles you’ve never used before!! THAT is when you see results 😍

Even on my running streak🏃🏼‍♀️, I try to change the route/path up often 🏔🏖🌊

Whenever I am training clients, I try to use various pieces of equipment throughout the hour. One of my very favorites is the weighted ring (& of course the pink one!) 💕💖

Here are some of the best exercises to use the 10 lb. ring:

💖 alternating lunges with ring twist
💪 alternating curtsy lunges while pressing the ring overhead
💖 sumo squat with ring swing (similar to kettle bell)
💪 bent over squats with row (hold hands on either side of the ring press towards the ground then bring towards your chest)
💖Right Side lunge ( 45° angle) with a right arm row. Tuck left hand behind back
💪Left Side lunge (45° angle) with a left arm row. Tuck right hand behind back

Do each of these exercises for ONE minute. 2 ROUNDS!

💥BONUS- in between the rounds -
Place ring at the top of the mat, do TWO low get ups, and immediately grab the ring and Press ring forward and back TWO times (STAY LOW)

Repeat for one minute🔥

I’ve always said my top two passions are FASHION and FITNESS! Not sure if I’ve ever shared this with y’all, but I haven’t always been in fitness. 😃

Wayback in the early days, I worked in radio marketing🎼. I had so much fun interning (then being hired) with a very popular local radio station…going to tons of concerts, behind the scenes, getting to tagalong to interviews etc. that era ended, and I segued into retail.

I started with a kiosk at a very popular local mall. To this day it was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. 😳 Worked seven days a week, 12 hours a day, standing on Cold cement… Couldn’t afford an employee so it was all ME!

From there, I opened two different retail stores- one was a natural bath and body store & the other was garden & home. That lasted a few years, and I quickly decided it was time to get out. That’s when the fashion started. I owned a business called Closet Couture. I Helped clients pick the best items in their closet, (and what to get rid of) how to put it together/accessorize etc. I also helped pack for trips- picking out day to evening looks so that they would feel fabulous but not overpack! 🧳
Then, I went to work for an amazing women’s boutique called Matti D. I probably spent about two years there learning from the very best, Marie Ferris! Anyone who lives locally knows that store is phenomenal! I loved dressing up, helping clients, selling fabulous looks, buying these incredible designer pieces (basically my whole paycheck went back to the store😅). It was just such a fun time!

Then my second child, Oliver was born. I was ready for the next phase of my life. Someone introduced me to Pure Barre, and told me to try it out. They thought I’d be a great teacher for them. This is a whole other post… My journey into fitness and all the paths I have taken.

What I really wanted to point out was how my two passions do tend to merge. I love a good funky look but let’s face it, I have to be in workout clothes most of the day! 🧘🏼‍♀️

I hope one day to design my own street wear/fitness line. What do you guys think? Should I go for it? 🤩

Happy Saturday y’all 🤍 Wishing you all a peaceful relaxing weekend! I know I am looking forward to some good chill time with the family and Nesta 🐶

I posted the full story on Facebook & a little bit on IG, but in case you don’t know, my Sweet dog Nesta went in to have tumors removed this past Monday, and a couple hours after drop off, we received a call that the leg simply could not be saved (in his best interest). We quickly met as a family together and decided to go forward with the amputation.

It’s been a very tough week seeing him return in this state, but I must say his spirits are incredible. He seems calm, peaceful and very happy to be home. He’s as loving and sweet as ever, and is transitioning well! 🙏🏼

He gets up on his own and tries to walk around & has been eating and drinking like a champ! These are all huge milestones to us in just a short period of time. 🙏

I could never repay the 💙he has given to me. I am just so grateful he is still here and will continue to teach me about love, friendship and paying it forward🐶

So instead of chasing, ATTRACT! Believe in this simple fact that “whatever is meant for you really will come to you.” Manifest good things, good people, and good days coming to you. Focus on the law of doing and let the law of attraction work for you❣️
