You don't want to miss this!!
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." β Matthew 5:3
One of the hardest things for an athlete to overcome is not their opponent.
It's their pride.
Pride says, "I already know."
Humility says, "Teach me."
Pride rejects correction.
Humility welcomes instruction.
Pride makes excuses.
Humility makes adjustments.
In boxing, the athlete who remains coachable is the athlete who continues to grow. The moment we think we have arrived, we stop learning. The moment we stop learning, we stop developing.
Jesus began the Sermon on the Mount with these words:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3)
To be poor in spirit is to recognize our need for God and to remain humble before Him. It is understanding that no matter how much success we have, there is always more to learn, more room to grow, and more grace to receive.
The greatest athletes, leaders, and disciples are not those who know everythingβthey are those who never stop learning.
Stay humble. Stay teachable. Stay hungry.
The athlete with the best attitude will often go farther than the athlete with the greatest talent.
