When you buy a used ultralight (ours or anyone else's) you are potentially buying every mistake and/or other crazy thing a prior owner did to the aircraft.

This insanity was almost invisible, hidden underneath a large, non-standard washer on the bracket. Fortunately, the buyer of this aircraft saw enough things on the airplane to make him feel uncomfortable, so he brought it to us for inspection. We found this, along with a list of about 15 other things that needed to be corrected before it will be airworthy.

If you are considering purchasing a used Aerolite and come across something that does not look right to you, we always encourage you to contact us so we can evaluate what you are looking at.

Everytime I have seen something like this over the past 31 years, I think perhaps I have finally seen every creative way someone has come up with to potentially kill themselves in an ultralight. I've been proven wrong every single time.

One of our dealers (Murray Aviation, in Georgia) picked up three more kits, three parachutes, and some additional parts today. Now he's headed back home to assemble things for his customers. Tight fit, but we got everything in his vehicle and trailer. 🎯

We offer ballistic parachute systems for all types of aircraft, including ultralight, trike, powered parachutes, rotorcraft, and even hot air balloons. System parameters cover aircraft from single seat ultralight clear up to experimentals with gross weights just under 4,000 lb and deployment speeds just under 200 mph.

Haz-Mat shipping cost to any location in the continental United States is a flat $175, and covers both parcels (the parcel containing the parachute and the parcel containing the rocket).

As you know, we ship Aerolite kits and completed Aerolites all over the word. We are often asked how they are packed when shipped internationally.

We normally build 2 sturdy crates to hold all of the components for either ocean or air freight shipment.

(We know someone is going to ask....so yes, the end of the fuselage crate IS completely enclosed, however its final panel is still off in one of the photos below.) :-)

Who would like to guess the colors of the next few Aerolites headed out the door? 😁
