Another Aerolite 103 Quick Build kit on its way to a customer in California!

When you buy a used ultralight (ours or anyone else's) you are potentially buying every mistake and/or other crazy thing a prior owner did to the aircraft.

This insanity was almost invisible, hidden underneath a large, non-standard washer on the bracket. Fortunately, the buyer of this aircraft saw enough things on the airplane to make him feel uncomfortable, so he brought it to us for inspection. We found this, along with a list of about 15 other things that needed to be corrected before it will be airworthy.

Everytime I have seen something like this over the past 31 years, I think perhaps I have finally seen every creative way someone has come up with to potentially kill themselves in an ultralight. I've been proven wrong every single time.

One of our dealers (Murray Aviation, in Georgia) picked up three more kits, three parachutes, and some additional parts today. Now he's headed back home to assemble things for his customers. Tight fit, but we got everything in his vehicle and trailer. 🎯

As you know, we ship Aerolite kits and completed Aerolites all over the word. We are often asked how they are packed when shipped internationally.

We normally build 2 sturdy crates to hold all of the components for either ocean or air freight shipment.

(We know someone is going to ask....so yes, the end of the fuselage crate IS completely enclosed, however its final panel is still off in one of the photos below.) :-)
