Congrats to Tash Shafer, for placing 2nd at Greco at 3rd in Freestyle at MN/USA State this weekend!

Congrats to Annamarie Depa and Riley O’Donnell for competing at the Girls NYWA team and individual state tournament.

Congrats to Annamarie on a 4th place finish in the individual tournament.

At the NYWA State tournament this weekend Cade Hendricks placed 3rd and Bodi Pitzenberger placed 4th.

At the State Invite Jacob Micka placed 2nd and Thor Hovda placed 1st.

Last week, we had a combined High School and Youth practice. The High School wrestlers get paired with youth wrestlers and work with them. Hard to tell who had more fun! We worked on techniques, dodgeball game and autographs. Fun night for all involved!

Did you know that the Delano Wrestling Team is getting it done in the classroom too? They earned the 3rd highest GPA in all of AA wrestling with a GPA of 3.891. They received the AA Gold division, recognized by the MWCA. See article below.

Congratulations to Tigers Jeff Ritter and Tate Olson on outstanding seasons that ended on the podium at the MSHSL State Wrestling Championships in St. Paul!

Jeff earned a 4th-place finish at 189 pounds, going 4–2 in the tournament.
Tate earned a 5th-place finish at 152 pounds, also going 4–2.

Both wrestlers earned All-State honors with their performances.

More important than medals, these two young men represented their families, our team, and our community with class. They competed with toughness, determination, and heart every time they stepped on the mat.
