GOOD LUCK to our E Scow Sailors who are sailing in the 2026 E Scow Nationals at Lake Geneva Yacht Club this weekend there are over 62 boats registered 😲

Rookie sailor Skyler Swearingen will be skipping alongside another Rookie Skipper Ian McClenathan and Veteran Shaun Sherry will also be attending. If you have the chance, please stop by the LGYC this weekend Fri - Sunday AM to watch this incredible regatta.

We have some awesome Delavan sailors and members who are up in Minnetonka, Minnesota for Big Inland Championships!

For the A-Scows, sailing I-96 White Magic are Chuck Lamphere and family who take home the 1st place trophy overall for the 2026 Inlands! Incredible! 👏

Sailing on I-760 Proper Villains are Ian McClenathan and Shaun Sherry. They placed 4th overall! Wow! 🤩

Sailing on I-14 Cruise Control is Owen Kohut and their team placed 9th. Nice! 🎉

Very light air which doesn't make it easy for these massive boats but they persevered and had a lot to show for it! 21 boats competed with some stiff competition. Congrats!

E Scows are up next and currently racing. D-51 skipped by Ian McClenathan with crews Anna & Emmett Clair and Skyler Swearingen. A boat full of awesome youth sailors that are now competing with some big dawgs 💪

Shaun Sherry D-44 is also skipping an E Scow. These guys have had a busy week of racing. 🫡

C Scows are also now racing.
D-30 Nathan & Graham Hetzler are teaming up alongside 23 other boats and show them what they can do 😱

We are PROUD of these sailors who travel near and far to represent the DLYC. Cheers & good luck to our competitors.

BIG DEAL ALERT ⚠️ 📢 🚨

DELAVAN'S VERY OWN D-12 FINN CLAIR & CREW CHARLEY ANDERSON ARE THE 2026 JUNIOR FLEET X ILYA CHAMPIONS 🏆

What an UNBELIEVABLE ACHIEVEMENT by these two youth sailors!

Their total score overall was 12. The second place boat? 21. TWENTY ONE. Massive lead.

Please congratulate Finn & Charley next time you see them! There is SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE. It's a long summer of sailing school, regattas, and championship club races yet these kids continue to show up and show out to represent the DLYC everywhere they go! Shout out to parents, the Clear Lake Yacht Club, instructors, fellow competitors, and everyone who helped make this happen.

CHEERS TO DLYC! Continuing to support our youth sailors is imperative. All of these kiddos are going to do great things in the future 💪 ⛵️
