It’s been 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Lessons the last few days have been limited and mostly walking due to the heat.
Some horses and riders can’t or don’t need to ride due to many different circumstances (and that’s ok!!!) but if we are riding we are trying to keep it fun!
What are you doing to keep the fun and still learning???

Welcome to another glorious Tuesday on the farm, where the coffee is hot, the equines are always hungry, and something expensive is absolutely, positively broken.
Owning a horse farm and caring for these magnificent, high-maintenance athletes is beautiful, rewarding, and strictly not for the weak.
It requires a level of grit you can’t buy, a sense of humor to keep from crying, and a deep understanding that "character building" usually starts with a busted fence or a piece of heavy machinery throwing a tantrum in a pile of manure.
Farm life rule #1: If it works, enjoy it, because it’ll probably break tomorrow.

I saw this quote and saved it for my upcoming but I felt like it needed shared before then….
It is easy to cheer for the blue ribbon. It takes a village to cheer for the comeback.
When we sign our kids up for horse showing, it is easy to get caught up in the glitz of the show ring—the polished silver, the perfect outfits, and the thrill of the win. But anyone who has spent a season in the dirt knows that the real magic of this sport doesn't happen during the victory lap.
It happens in the quiet moments right after a bad round.
Horse showing teaches our kids a powerful truth early in life: it is not about who applauds you when you win, but who stands firmly beside you when you fail.
This sport builds a completely different kind of kid because it forces them to navigate the highs and lows with grace. When they walk out of that arena after a heavy gate penalty, a refused jump, or a completely forgotten pattern, they learn exactly what real community looks like.
Through the dust and the disappointments, horse showing teaches them:
Unwavering Support: They find out who their real village is—the barn mates who hold the gate open, the parents who offer a hug before a word, and the trainers who immediately start planning the next lesson.
True Grit: They learn that a bad day in the saddle isn't the end of the world. It is just the prologue to a better comeback.
Radical Empathy: Because they know how much a tough ride hurts, they are always the first to cheer on a friend who is having a rough day.
At the end of the weekend, the ribbons will fade and the trophies will gather dust on a shelf. But the resilience they build, the work ethic they develop, and the people who stayed in their corner when things went wrong? That stays with them forever.
Here’s to the kids who dust themselves off, the horses that teach them patience, and the incredible village that supports them through every single ride. 💛🐴
Horse show weekend! Sorry Bo, you have to stay home!

Take a look at these great guys 🦄🦄🦄🦄
1-“KM Exquisitely Best” is the ultimate family horse. This AQHA 2010 gelding is so safe and dependable. Joey has been a teacher the last couple of years for all sizes of riders. He is excellent in the ranch classes and horsemanship. Joey got his great looks from his sire, the great RL Best Of Sudden. We would love to keep this guy in the barn! 15.2h five figures, https://youtu.be/5UFndgdSBDs?is=VQXXtbAOdrhaFYjf
2-“Dynamics Deluxe Jewel” is a jack of all trades! It does everything from jumping to western to speed to ranch to showmanship. He is safe for all levels of riders, very sound and fun to ride. He is a 2014 APHA registered gelding with a good show history! He is also the favorite pick for the costume class. We would love to keep him in the barn! 🦄 15.2h, five figures, https://youtu.be/Vv-rRQgxFmI?is=wshdE02V9CuDLIwL
