Earlier this year, I got bloodwork back that made me pay attention.
My blood sugar and insulin resistance markers were moving close enough to the prediabetic range that I couldn't just dismiss them.
My first response wasn't to eliminate every carbohydrate or find the newest blood sugar "hack."
I started looking at the bigger picture.
✅ How was I eating?
✅ How was I sleeping?
✅ Was I moving enough?
What patterns could I actually change and repeat?
Five months later, my follow-up bloodwork showed those numbers had been cut in half.
That experience reinforced something I talk about frequently here:
Data isn't a judgment. It's information.
A number can tell you that something deserves attention. It doesn't automatically tell you why it's happening or what single thing will fix it. Look for the pattern. Make a manageable change. Pay attention to what happens next. That's how information becomes useful.
