Dennis Stevens was honored as the first recipient of the Above and Beyond Award from the Mashantum Tennis Club in memory of Christopher "Chris" Wadsworth, the lifelong educator, former headmaster, past Mashantum President and conservation trustee who passed away in November 2025.

For a Club that has relied on people stepping up to help out with all kinds of initiatives and projects, Dennis has set the standard. He has fixed the roller and lawn mower, addressed irrigation issues, tackled electrical problems, and taught us all lots. His know-how is extraordinary; his heart is even bigger!! We are so indebted to him!

Mashantum Annual Meeting 2026🎾
Thank you to members Christine and Chris for hosting a spectacular event. The weather and scenery was perfect. Thank you to all who worked to organize, help with set up or who brought a food/drink item.

Congratulations to Dennis Stevens on becoming the first recipient of the Above and Beyond Award in Memory of Chris Wadsworth.

Thank you to Dan Lowenthal for putting out the Agenda for the meeting and being so thorough and organized throughout the pre and current season. Welcome to Pam Feeney who will be an incoming Board Member. Special thanks also to Dennis, Ryan and the team of Brady, Bridget, Caroline, Eva, Liam Lukas, Maeve, Rocco for all their hard work this season. We are grateful to each of you and to all the Mashantum Community.

More exciting Mashantum Member News: Rachel White just cracked the top 100 in the country for the 18s and under and is currently competing this week at the USTA National Hard Courts in San Diego. She is an upcoming Senior in High School who just committed to playing D1 Tennis for Villanova University!🎾💪

Congratulations to Anna Lowenthal on being the 2026 Aldrich Cup Winner!!! The Aldrich Cup goes to the best all-around adult in singles, doubles and mixed doubles on a point basis. Long lists of all the winners hang on the original shack by the courts. Anna won the Women's Singles and Women's Doubles Tournaments and was a Finalist in the Mixed Tournament! Well done and well deserved!!

Congratulations to Carly and Colin Campbell on becoming the 2026 Mixed Doubles Champions!! They are the second recipients of the Bill and Suzanne Osborn Cup. Congratulations to Dan and Anna Lowenthal on becoming the Mixed Doubles Finalists! It was a hot one and boy were the points fire!! This fiercest group of 8 battled it out today in the Mixed Doubles Semi's! Dan and Anna vs Mark and Jen were on court 3, while Carley and Colin vs Christine and Will were on court 1. Great Points and pleasurable viewing were had by all!! Swing by tomorrow at 11:00 to watch Anna and Dan vs Carley and Colin!

Another Successful Prosecco 🍾Sardines 🐟Open!! Ryan's team went home with the Prosecco, while Dennis's team went home with the Sardines. Tons of teamwork, comraderie and a little bit of trash talking was had on the courts during this fast paced competition. Thank you all for partaking and making it a delightful morning.
