We've been offering classes in traditional taekwondo in Denton, Texas for over 30 years. We stress safety, respect and excellence in our training. Through martial arts, children, teens and adults learn self-defense, self-discipline and self-confidence. Denton Taekwondo Academy students can apply these skills to school, hobbies, careers and continuing education. Other benefits include increased fitness, flexibility and fun. The instructors at Denton Taekwondo Academy teach traditional taekwondo, period. We do one thing, we do it extremely well, and we do it six days per week. In fact, we offer the most classes each week of any martial arts school in Denton, including daytime classes for adults and home schooled children! We have spent over 30 years building a solid reputation in Denton for the highest quality martial arts training for both kids and adults.

Parents' Night Out is this weekend! Ages 5 - 13ish.

Register online for Denton Taekwondo Academy's Parents' Night Out this Saturday night, September 19, 2026 from 5:30 - 9:45pm. Siblings and friends are welcome. Everyone gets a seminar. Oh! and pizza. and a movie. with Mr. Rogers' fabulous sound system. And popcorn.

Kids should wear their uniform; green belts and above should bring sparring gear, just in case. They can bring street clothes or jammies to change into if they wish. Some kids like to bring a blanket or stuffie to snuggle with during the movie. Please bring a water bottle.

Please let us know by Thursday, September 17 if you are interested!

$29 first family member, $10 off for brother or sister.

We will need a new, signed registration form for (all of) 2026.

Flashback 1987: Master Jim Robinson is definitely a showman! He is also one of the top 1% of most proficient Martial Artist the USA ever produced--I'm not sure those board-holders were convinced he was joking! 😁

Jim Robinson SUPERSTAR Retro: Ha! Back in the late 1970s to early 1980s I was privileged to be taught and become friends with one of the LEGENDS and great Masters of our time. It was amazing to be alive watching him perform and here he is at his BEST at Denton Taekwondo Academy almost 40 years ago.
