📣UPDATE: Sanger is open barring any lighting strikes- head to warm ups- listen for the lightning alarm. Remember we have a board member on site if you have questions- they will direct any lightning delays on site themselves.

Still waiting on updates from other sites. Be ready to move games to Sanger

If your game site is rained out- you may be moved to a new field. Commissioners will advise (Sanger will call it after 5:00)

It’s Game Day Baby!!!!! And we have SQUISHYs!!! Just kidding we don’t, and we won’t. We have Softball and it’s waaaay better than a two hour line for a squishy

We’re excited to see Games beginning tonight! This is our start of the Fall season & your official reminder that ALL FIELDS have a ZERO TOLERANCE rule.

Behave OR you will be struggling to watch the game from the parking lot. And we promise there’s not a field in our interlock with a good view from the parking lot 😉

Cheer on your girls, support your coaches, enjoy the walkup songs and competition. Make some memories, take the pictures and keep it civil.

📌IF your child has asthma or is prone to respiratory issues, Please make sure there’s a rescue inhaler on site, within reach for your player.

As practices begin across the league we need to do our annual post on the dangers of Texas Heat.

SSA has asked coaches to download the Free app “HeatAlert” ((pic of icon below) and abide within its suggested protocols. We do not have cooling stations available at Porter Park so parents and coaches need to be aware of the signs of heat sickness and react accordingly.

The SSA board is First Aide/CPR/AED certified… there is an AED in concessions, But coaches and parents are the first line of defense on the fields.

Hydration is key.

Make sure your child has at least a half gallon JUG of water for practice.
-Do not send a yeti of water. It is not enough.
-Do not send a single water bottle. It is not enough.
-Do not assume there is water available. It may not be.

Stay safe. Stay hydrated. Stay aware of the heat index

It’s always a great season when we have a Head Coach for every team! But that’s not where the volunteer needs end 😉

🥎You can help at practices with a background check
🥎You can setup the snack schedule
🥎You can signup for walkup music
🥎All 6:30 Home Games need fields chalked

Head to Team Sideline to get registered as a volunteer, complete the background check and start helping your coaches with warmups & practice drills. Just being an extra glove on the field is helpful to your team.

Meet the Board… These Ladies and Gentlemen volunteer their time to make this league possible for our community. They don’t lead quiet restful lives 😂 they just make the time to volunteer & increase their caffeine intake 🤣

💥72 returning players & 73 new players.
💥148 Coach/Team requests & 143 were possible
💥52 Volunteers

Our Board works tirelessly to improve our program. We would LOVE constructive feedback & more than that we would love YOUR time and energy to accomplish your suggested improvements 😉

So when blues make a bad call, when your nacho cheese temps aren’t perfect, or when the other teams parents/coaches/players are just working your nerves … please remember the board who handles your concerns & complaints are community members giving b their time to your child- and most importantly we’d love Your help making our program better
