Played some friendly midwesterners,
they were a hoot!
Reinforced what this dear game*
is truly aboot. 🍻

Sure, we had a few setbacks,
(They weren’t easy — no way!)
But we forged our way forward,
And a TEAM we did stay. 🖤

Perhaps the “off-season” ain’t our thing…
