Charlie Tran is a collegiate player at Colorado School of Mines, our goal isn’t simply to make his swing look better… it’s about building movements that are repeatable, functional, and capable of producing results under high amounts of pressure.

I’m extremely proud of the progress Charlie has made so far.

I believe he’s getting very close to seeing those qualitative changes turn into some BIG quantitative gains.

Better movement → better delivery → better results.

For questions on what Charlie and I have worked on or to book personal swing sessions send me a DM.

Learning the golf swing is a lot like learning music.

You don’t start by playing a full song… you start by learning the notes.

In golf, those “notes” are the positions and movements that build a great swing. On their own, they aren’t the finished product. A segmented drill will never look or feel like a true golf swing.

But by breaking the swing into manageable pieces, your brain can organize each movement, making it much easier to blend everything together into one dynamic, athletic, and repeatable motion.

Master the notes first… then play the music.

One of the biggest misconceptions in golf is that speed comes from effort. In reality, the way you deliver the club can unlock speed you didn’t know you had.

In this video, I break down how shallowing the golf club and adding the right amount of wrist extension can help create:
-More natural clubhead speed
-More distance
-Better, more consistent contact

The best part? When you’re working on changes like these, having launch monitor technology and instant swing feedback makes the learning process so much faster.

At POP Golf Performance, every lesson is backed by technology that helps you understand why the ball is doing what it’s doing… so you’re not just guessing, you’re improving.

Have you ever worked on shallowing your swing? Let me know what you’ve experienced in the comments! 👇

Watching this young man continue to grow is something I never take for granted.

He’s an incredible talent, but what impresses me most isn’t his golf swing… it’s his mindset. Every lesson, every practice session, and every round is approached with focus, hard work, and a determination to keep getting better.

Talent can open doors, but it’s consistency and commitment that create lasting success. Excited to be a small part of the journey and can’t wait to see what’s next.

The future is bright. ⛳️💪

A day in the life of a PGA Teaching Professional. ⛳️

9 lessons. 13+ hours. Countless golf swings.

The day starts at 7:00 AM on the lesson tee at the golf club and finishes around 8:00 PM at my indoor performance facility. Long days? Absolutely. But when you genuinely love helping golfers improve, it never feels like “just a job.”

One of the biggest misconceptions is that teaching golf is simply watching people hit balls all day. In reality, every lesson is different. Every player learns differently. My job is to understand how each golfer moves, communicates, and thinks… and then find them a solution/prescription to get them to where they want to be.

Sometimes it’s as simple as helping someone enjoy the game a little more.

That’s what makes this profession so rewarding. Every lesson is a new challenge, and every improvement big or small is a WIN.

This is a glimpse into one day doing what I’m MOST passionate about. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

One simple feel from former world number 1 David Duval that can completely change the way you deliver the club.

If you tend to get stuck in the downswing, you’ll often struggle to square the clubface consistently and find yourself delivering the club too far under the plane (with an overly flippy release pattern). Stuck miss patterns tend to be pushes and hooks… sometimes also create impact/contact problems.

Remember: a feel isn’t a swing rule. It’s simply a tool to create a better movement. Feel vs. real remain two different things in golf.

If you’re feeling STUCK… try this on the range and let me know what changes you notice.

Follow for more simple concepts that help you understand your swing. Not just copy positions.

This is what my life has become 🤣

FLEXION, EXTENSION, & SUPINATION.
This is the formula that creates a simple and powerful impact position on a shot-to-shot basis. No matter what your core golf swing beliefs are… these anatomical principles are of necessity through impact for any high-level ball striker.

My brain doesn’t always hold onto things it should… but it always does hold onto GOLF SWINGS.

A couple days ago, my girlfriend asked me to sit down and go through these swing silhouettes. Little did she know I’m a 🐶.
