I just like this picture. This is where I spend most of my time. At home. Where my kids and husband run in and out. But me, I’m here the most. Cooking, cleaning, decorating, gardening, working.

It’s taken me years to bring items into my home I love. I thrift and buy new things. But it hasn’t happened over night.

I’m impatient sometimes and I want everything to come together right away. It seems though the sweetest things come with time. And after people telling me it’s about the journey.. I might finally get it.

There is never a perfect. There will never be everything exactly how you envision/want it. Usually the universe gives you something better. The things you need. What you need to learn or experience.

This post is really all about living where I’m at now. How old my kids are now. How old I am now. How old my parents are now. It’s about being HERE, now and now and now and now. Give the people you love a kiss and look them in the eye and tell them how special they are.

Taking better care of myself today. Or at least for breakfast. Taking it one choice at a time. I know I feel better when I eat well, when I stretch, when I go outside.

Why is it so hard for me to do that? We’ll, at least I’m making it a priority today. Hopefully tomorrow too.

I sprinkled seeds of chamomile, kale, spinach, poppies and borage.

I let them be free in my garden. Now, ladybugs and bees come see me everyday. They look so pretty growing together. Luckily, the pill bugs didn’t destroy them. Though they have killed 4 of my pumpkin plants. I could be discouraged and mad but I’m deciding to focus on what’s going well this year.

We’ve had spinach in our smoothies and a thousand kale salads. Dried thyme and oregano and waiting for my Anaheim chilis and jalapeños!!

Sometimes the simplest, most obvious thing can make the biggest impact.

Picking flowers from my garden and waking up to them in the morning.. priceless and yet SO simple.

Let’s not make joy a hard thing to find. Joy is in the little things. Happy Summer 🌞

I feel like my 40s will be even better than my 30s. I have more confidence, courage and strength than ever before. Is this the gift of age?

In my 30s I was diagnosed with EOE and thought I might die. Death brings more vibrancy to living, I’ve lived more fully than ever, I learned about myself in greater depth, I found out how strong I was, and all that I can do with a support system and determination I have inside me. We’ve remodeled three houses, raised my kids, (who are now teenagers), created a mom conference, began energy work, learned about tarot and started creating content for business owners. My path may look sporadic, but I follow the things that light me up. So much happened in my 30s and I cannot wait to see what the next decade will bring. My children will leave my house and I will have a freedom that I have never had. Having children in my early 20s I went from one family to the next. This next decade will be more about ME. I can’t wait to uncover the other pieces of myself that I do not know. THANK YOU to every single person that has been on this journey with me. ⭐️💕REBA

When your teen asks you to sit outside and watch them play basketball as soon as you get home, do it. When they ask you to do most anything, do it. I heard a stat that you will spend 80% of the time you will ever spend with your kids by the time they are 18. It made me remember this time is PRECIOUS. Hang out with your kids. It will make them cooler for being with you. Right? 😎

Show your kids how cool you are today. Or, do whatever you want. Cook, don’t cook. Take a walk. Lay in bed all day.

Point being: This is your day. Do what you want. Not what everyone else wants you to do.

You can do it. Make Mother’s Day about you.

Oh and HAPPY MOTHER’S you beautiful Mama!!

Zen nook in my living room. I workout, stretch, lay down, paint, drink tea in this happy area.

I leave the yoga mat out all the time. It makes it easy to jump on and stretch for a second. And reminds me to move my body.

I can’t express how happy this cozy corner makes me feel.

Do you have a zen area? A big or little spot you can just zen out in? Put a pic in the comments!

Saying the words out loud to myself “I forgive you.”

When I say the mean thing. When I yell at someone. When I mess up or don’t do something “right”. I can be very tough on myself. Where are my people pleasers and perfectionists?? 🖐🏻🙋🏼‍♀️

This can have positive effects, like me changing because I don’t want to be that way. It can also have a negative effects, I beat myself up so much that I no longer feel worthy or I generalize and say I’m a bad person because I did. This one thing.

Forgiving myself has been a game changer. Giving myself some grace. I don’t have to be perfect and neither do you.

It’s actually impossible.

Give yourself a break.

And dance a little 💃🏼
