You can treat yourself and still make progress!🍩💕
This past weekend I felt like getting a doughnut, so I did (lol s/o to the vegan ones at ). And guess what, it was delicious and fully enjoyed with zero regret. AND it didn’t set me back or ruin all my progress. While that may not seem like a big deal there was a time in my life when I could not have done that😳
Is your relationship with food holding you back?
For years I:
❌Restricted myself
❌Would only let myself eat 1200 calories/day
❌Had a list of “good” and “bad” foods in my head
❌Thought carbs and fat would make me “fat”
❌Got extreme anxiety going out to eat
❌Would eat one cookie and end up binging on 10
❌Would feel extremely guilty the whole rest of the day if I did eat any sort of dessert or treat
❌Would overexercise and restrict the next day to try to make up for it
Honestly it was pretty dang miserable, and I felt so isolated and stuck.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for eating whole, nutrient dense foods the majority of the time, but life is also short and deserves to be enjoyed to the fullest!

How many times have you told yourself on a Monday that THIS week is the week you’ll start to eat healthier🙋🏽♀️
THIS is the week you’ll get back into a regular workout routine💪🏼
..only to revert to old habits before the week is even over...
Probably more times than you can remember...😳
You’ve tried following fad diets - paleo, low-carb, weight watchers, maybe even keto.
You’ve bought some exercise programs, everything is laid out, but it’s a little intimidating, it’s hard to stick with, and just plain isn’t interesting.
You’ve committed to making a change, gone into the week with excitement, but life gets stressful and after a long day it’s tempting to just skip your workout, easy to order out dinner again instead of cooking at home.
Those thoughts of doubt start to creep in, “Well, I’ve already gotten off track, what’s the point now, I’ll just start next week”
I know what it’s like to feel stuck in the “I’ll start again on Monday” cycle. Disappointed in yourself, maybe even ashamed.
Getting out requires a change in mindset, one that most likely isn’t going to happen overnight, but one that YOU are fully capable of making🤍

Let’s chat discipline vs motivation👇🏼
“If only I was more motivated then ____” (you fill in the blank)
Well, I’m here to tell you that no one is motivated 24/7. Even as someone who self proclaimed loves working out, is extremely passionate about wellness and fitness, and who’s career revolves around it, if I were to count the number of times I have not been motivated to go to workout lets just say there would be lots lol
It really comes down to discipline. How much do you want something, and how much of a priority is it in your life? Brushing your teeth and going to work are non negotiable, make your health a non negotiable in your life too!!!
On those days when the LAST thing you want to do is get up and go to the gym, come back to these (I tell myself these all the time, I promise it helps!):
👉🏼Your future self will be glad you went
👉🏼Have you ever regretted a workout? NOPE
👉🏼You’re going to feel so much more mentally refreshed and able to better tackle the rest of your day!
👉🏼Get rid of the all or nothing approach…moving in some way is better than nothing
👉🏼Keeping yourself accountable in one part of your life translates to successfully being able to tackle challenges that will be faced in other parts
👉🏼You’re a sexy badass b****, just do it🔥

TOP 5 TIPS FOR A HEALTHY MORNING ROUTINE☀️
How you approach your morning can shape your mindset for the rest of your day, your productivity, and the energy you give out! Try these to set yourself up for success🌸
1. Drink water!! - I always try to keep a filled water bottle next to my bed and make myself chug it as soon as I get up. Even if it feels forced, do it, you will feel so much more awake and energized💦
2. Don’t touch your phone - turn off your alarm if needed and then put it back face down for the next 5-15 minutes, anything on there can wait. If that means getting up 15 mins earlier then do that!
3. Stretch and Breathe - Take a few minutes to breathe deeply and stretch out your body. I like to start with a child's pose and forward fold and go from there (will do a more in depth post on some of my favs for this!)🙏🏼
4. Journal - Take a few minutes to write down 3 things you are grateful for and really feel it. If you want to write more no ones stopping you!
5. Positive Affirmations - most important by far🙌🏼write down at least 5 positive affirmations. These can either be about yourself, things you want in your life, or qualities you want to express. Then read them all out loud to yourself. Maybe that sounds weird, or woo woo but who cares, your thoughts are POWERFUL. And nothing is going to happen if you don’t believe it’s possible first.
