Electric Bike Outfitters (EBO) started designing eBike systems in 2011 and launched EBO in 2015 before most of the bike industry in the U.S. After a battle with cancer, and lots of treatment, our owner found the chemotherapy had scared his lungs and hampered his ability to ride a bike. The scaring caused him to lose 50% of the ability to process the oxygen he was breathing. eBikes helped him to be able to ride a bike without being winded, and he was able to help improve that loss to only 10% over a few years! Seeing how ebikes could help him, he wanted to make sure others could have the same experience. Since then, EBO has supported hundreds of shops, and thousands of people from stroke survivors, Parkinsons, MS, Wounded Warriors, knee replacements, hip replacements, missing limbs, Autism etc… be able to enjoy riding.

Five years ago, EBO started working on an eBike brand and last year we did our soft production launch of NIK eBikes.
Here at NIK eBikes we’re approaching things a bit differently. We’re making an eBike with standard parts (which we stock), no proprietary parts, simple for customers to maintain, easy for bike shops to work on, and actual customer service and support. Bike shops or anyone with questions can call, email, or walk into our U.S. production facility. NIK eBikes are being built, packed, and shipped to bike shops across the country today.
