The best moments aren’t staged…they’re left alone.

When we work with athletes we understand training is critical, which is why most we capture is built around staying out of the way letting athletes move, train, and exist in their element without interruption.

No resets. No over-direction. No breaking the moment.

Just real alignment when it happens.

The day before 70.3 Dallas athlete check-in and bike drop. Nothing feels big yet. No crowds. No finish line. Just athletes moving quietly through the motions.

And in that moment… something small happened that says everything about this sport.

A guy stops Ben.

Starts asking about his bike. How much it costs. How often he races. What he loves about it.

No hesitation. No nerves. Just curiosity.

They talk. They laugh. They exchange names.“Good luck tomorrow.”

And that’s it.

He walks away… having no idea he just had a casual conversation with an Olympian. No idea he was just talking to one of the top American long course athlete. The athlete who would get 2nd place in the race.

Think about that for a second.

That’s like walking into a gym, talking basketball with someone about their shoes and how often they play…and later realizing it was LeBron James.

But in triathlon… this happens all the time.
No introductions.
No spotlight. No one telling you who’s who.
Because out here, it doesn’t matter.
On race weekend, everyone looks the same.Everyone is nervous. Everyone is chasing something.

And for a moment titles, results, and reputations disappear.

You’re not standing next to a pro. You’re not standing next to an Olympian.

You’re just standing next to another athlete.

And that might be one of the most beautiful things about this sport.

A few weeks ago I couldn’t lift a coffee mug…

There was a real moment where I didn’t even know if I’d make it here. A shoulder injury had me questioning my own training, camera, gimbal, all of it felt out of reach.

But somehow, we got here. Weekends like this remind me it’s never just about the race or work.

It’s about the people. New friendships, familiar faces, and conversations that only happen when you’re all chasing something hard.

I’m incredibly grateful to the athletes who trust me, people who made this trip possible opening up their homes, lending me an e-bike, and making it easy for me to just show up and do what I love.

And that’s the thing… I really do love this s**t sometimes even more than my training and racing.

Being out here, capturing moments, telling these stories it fills me up in the same way racing does.

Texas, you were a good one.

Thank you to the athletes, brands, and teams who trusted me to tell a small piece of their story. That trust and the access that comes with it is something I don’t take lightly.

This year stretched me. New places, new environments, new sports. I expanded the work, sharpened the craft, and picked up new skills along the way. Just as important, I met inspiring athletes and creatives across disciplines who challenged how I see, shoot, and tell stories.

Looking ahead to 2026 with a clear focus: deeper storytelling, higher standards, and continuing to build meaningful work in sport.

Grateful for everyone who was part of the journey.

There’s something incredibly powerful about watching someone face a setback in their sport and rise from it with such immense determination. The road back is never easy, often marked by frustration, self-doubt, and countless obstacles. But what makes it so inspiring is not just the resilience to continue, but the quiet belief they carry—that they can turn this moment of adversity into a stepping stone, not a wall. Every setback tests more than their physical abilities; it challenges them mentally, their sense of purpose, and their will to push through when everything seems stacked against them. To see someone weather that storm, to witness them rebuild and return stronger, is to witness the depth of human perseverance. It’s a reminder that success isn’t just about winning; it’s about how you handle the setbacks along the way—and the grace and strength with which you come through to the other side.
