If you didn’t sleep well or are just not your usual self, give yourself permission to R E S T or do some easy movement or mobility/yoga.

Adequate rest and recovery are where you actually get stronger and can progress from, so remind yourself of this when you’re being hard on yourself for taking a much-needed rest day. 💜

Feeling a lot lately? Here’s how to use havening touch to calm + ground you 🤲

This builds on butterfly tapping from last week - the same idea of touch, but a lottttt slower and even more soothing.😊

WHAT TO DO:
1️⃣Cross your arms so your opposite hand is on your opposite upper arm or shoulder, like when you hug yourself
2️⃣Gently stroke your arms from shoulders to elbows
3️⃣Or, place hands on face/jaw and lightly sweep downward if you don’t want to hug yourself
4️⃣Move slowly and rhythmically
5️⃣Breathe in through your nose, with an exhale out of your mouth - bonus: make the exhale longer than the inhale for even more relaxation

OPTIONAL ADD-ON:
Silently repeat: “I’m safe,” and “I’ve got this.”

WHEN TO USE IT:
👉Before bed
👉When feeling anxious or overstimulated, or like you need some comfort or ease
👉After your workday ends

WHY IT WORKS:
Light touch + slow movement signals safety to the brain. A safer brain = more relaxation and ease. 💜✨

✅ DO THIS: Try havening for at least a minute when you need some comfort this week, and see how it feels. Seriously: just a minute is all it may take for you to find some ease. 🫶

Do you feel this, too? I don’t think growth should EVER be sped up (it’s never on a “timeline” anyways), but these last few weeks feel like they’ve happened in hyper speed in some ways. 🚀

I have several clients who are also describing to me how much more expansion they’re feeling the past few weeks in May! Together, we’ve been exploring a lot of core values, routines, ways to take care of ourselves, and adjacent topics for self-nurturing and exploration, and I couldn’t be more stoked for them.

I always find it so interesting when many of us seem to be experiencing the same thing together. 🥰 It helps foster a sense of community that is unbeat.

Have you felt any internal shifts lately? Do you have a community to lean on while you navigate these shifts?

P.S. It also may not help that I’ve been listening to ’s latest album for the month of May 😆😮‍💨 Talk about all the feels.

🚨 New podcast episode: Are You High-Functioning, but Actually Exhausted? 😅

You probably think nervous system dysregulation has to look dramatic. It doesn’t. 🙈

You’re likely:
✔ functioning
✔️ paying bills on time
✔ working
✔ training
✔ handling responsibilities… but you’re wondering why you’re feeling exhausted ALL the damn time.

In this episode, we’re talking about:
🧠 subtle nervous system signs people ignore
🧠 why high-achievers normalize stress
🧠 why your body may feel “on” all the time
🧠 and practical ways to start regulating your system to get you back to a healthier baseline for you.

The best part? You only need to make small shifts to get back to your baseline. Let me show you how. 😘

Do you ever feel like you can never fully relax?

You’re probably just stuck in “GO mode.” 🫠

Let me help. 🫶

If you feel:
✔ exhausted all day (or in the afternoon)
✔ wide awake at night
✔ like your brain won’t shut off
✔️ like you use your phone to “unwind” all the time

Welcome to the club! 😅

Kidding aside, this is what we call “tired but wired” and it isn’t any fun.

It’s most often a nervous system/stress management problem.

The good news? You don’t need to do a full life overhaul. You just need to:
✔ downshift from a stress state more often
✔ reduce constant stimulation and phone use (especially before bed)
✔ give your brain a chance to freaking rela # #

🎧 Listen to this recent episode because it might explain a LOT.

If you want help actually applying this to your training + life (without overthinking everything), apply for 1:1 coaching at the link in my bio or comment or DM me the word COACH. I gotchu. 👊

Oof, are things just heavy for a lot of folks right now or what? 😮‍💨 Because my team is f e e l I n g it. I am, too, so you’re not alone in this. 😉👯‍♀️

During challenging times, it’s nice to lean on some words of inspiration to help ease the ache a bit - this is when I lean particularly heavily on Pema Chödrön’s words. Her insight and perspective have carried me through many trials over the past 25+ years, so perhaps these words find you when you most need them. 💜✨

It’s a reminder that things fall apart. Then they come back together again. And that’s pretty much on repeat. The ease comes in knowing this and also learning to ride the waves of falling apart and coming back together again along the way. 🌊🏄‍♀️

Learn to ride the waves of emotions that pop up and to F E E L these waves instead of tamping them down, ignoring them, or fleeing from them altogether. Your nervous system actually NEEDS to feel the emotions (and feelings emerging from said emotions) in order to process all of the sh*t you’re going through.

The next time a feeling (perhaps unwanted) emerges, notice it. Name it. Let it course through your body. Don’t run from it. What does it bring up for you? Just know that things are ever-changing and will come back together again soon enough…

Love you, mean it. 🫶

When you’re S T R E S S E D or in your F E E L S and don’t have much energy or time to get a longer (or more intense) workout in, DO THIS:

1️⃣Perform some sort of squatting movement. By working your legs, you’re helping pump more blood to more muscles which means more endorphins, leaving you feel good.😊

2️⃣Include a core movement (or two!). By pumping your core muscles, you are helping make your body and spine more resilient. Also, working your core muscles can feel like a tiny hug to your body, making you feel safer and less stressed (which is good if you’re feeling taxed).

In this workout, I did 3 sets of:
1️⃣10 goblet squats
2️⃣20 legs extended weighted sit-ups
3️⃣20 total Russian twists

You can modify these movements with:
1️⃣Bodyweight squats to a chair
2️⃣Crunches, hollow body hold with knees bent, or a :15-:30 low plank
3️⃣Bodyweight twists or standing dumbbells chops

Everything is modifiable to meet you where you are.

Give this a go the next time you need something short yet effective to give your body a little love through intentional movement.🫶

Show up for yourself today. Love you, mean it.💜

This isn’t some “toxic positivity” stance, either… but what and how are you showing up right now?

Is it in alignment with whatever you need to do for your goals and to help solidify your self-worth in a time when you’re evolving and trying to push past boundaries?

Reflect on this question a lot right now - especially any time you experience blocks… because chances are high that your “blocks” may actually be… YOU and the limitations you’re placing on yourself.

Sometimes that’s the cold hard truth we need to see for ourselves along the journey. Why are you limiting yourself?

Love you, mean it.💜

🚨 New episode: The Invisible Stressors Keeping You Exhausted 😵‍💫

Are you inexplicably tired despite doing *all the things* “right?”

Your nervous system is tracking WAY more than you think:
📱 notifications
🧠 multitasking
📥 constant accessibility
😅 decision fatigue
📺 nonstop stimulation

No wonder you feel overwhelmed and exhausted all of the time.

In this episode, I’m unpacking:
✔ the hidden stressors quietly draining your energy
✔ why your body never feels “off-duty” or like you can actually rest
✔ and practical ways to regulate your nervous system

WITHOUT disappearing into a 10-day vipassana meditation retreat (although that would be great, too). 😉

I’m attending a mountain bike skills clinic hosted by in Buena Vista today, and I just wanted to share my excitement with you! 🙌🎉 Sometimes I get so busy coaching at these clinics that I never take a clinic for myself - and it was time to change that!

I’ll post more about my experience in a separate post, so stay tuned for that.🤗

Are you planning on attending a skills clinic this year? If so, I recommend checking out to see if any align with your schedule and goals!
