Sifu Ely working with our beginner program on one of the core ideas in Wing Chun: the centerline.

It’s something we come back to constantly—how we protect it, control it, and use it to stay efficient.

For beginners, it’s where everything starts.
For more experienced students, it’s something that keeps evolving.

Everyone understands and applies it a little differently.

How do you approach centerline in your training?

One of the best parts of training isn’t just learning the techniques—it’s the process of figuring things out over time.

Everyone starts in a different place. Some people pick things up quickly, others take a little longer, but that’s part of what makes training valuable. You’re not expected to have it all figured out right away.

What matters is showing up, putting in the work, and being open to learning.

For those currently training—what’s something that started to “click” for you recently?

And for anyone who’s been thinking about trying martial arts, what’s been holding you back?

Honoring our lineage and what we carry forward every day.

Our school comes from the teachings of Moy Tung, who trained under Moy Yat—a direct student of Yip Man (Ip man).

This isn’t just history to us—it’s something we actively train and preserve. Every class is a continuation of that lineage, adapted to help people grow in today’s world.

We’re proud to be part of something bigger than ourselves, and to pass that on to the next generation of students.
