🏴‍☠️☠️ WAG O' THE MATCH — MIKE FERRIS! ☠️🏴‍☠️

This week's Wag O' The Match goes to MIKE FERRIS!

Putting together our first home game takes a whole crew, and Mike went above and beyond to make sure everything came together!

🏉 Lined the field and got the pitch ready for game day!
💪 Transported the goalposts and helped get everything set up!
🍕 Made sure the boys were fed with some much-needed postgame pizza!

From getting the field ready to making sure the team was taken care of afterward, Mike stepped up in a big way!

THIS is what being a Scalliwag is all about! Showing up for your teammates, putting in the work, and doing whatever it takes to support the club. 🏴‍☠️

🍻 And a massive shoutout to our sponsor, Comrade Brewing Company! 🍻

Thank you for supporting the Wags and providing some amazing b**r for our post-match social! Nothing beats sharing a cold one with teammates, opponents, and supporters after 80 minutes of rugby!

We're lucky to have great people and local businesses helping us build something special, both on and off the pitch! 💚🖤

Here's to the people who put in the work behind the scenes. They're the backbone of this club, and we couldn't do it without them!

The Grizzlies got the win. The Scalliwags kept swinging. 🏴‍☠️🏉

Final: Colorado Grizzlies 55, Scalliwags 28

Not our night on the scoreboard, but there was no shortage of fight.

The boys went toe to toe for 80 minutes, put 28 points across, and made the Grizzlies earn every bit of it.

Credit where it’s due. Colorado Grizzlies brought a strong side and deserved the victory. Good rugby, hard hits, and plenty to take away from the match.

Now we patch the sails, tighten up the ship, and get ready for the next one.

The season’s still young.

And these Scalliwags aren’t lowering the flag anytime soon. ☠️

Follow along. There’s plenty more rugby ahead.

Final whistle: Scalliwags 28 – Queen City RFC 35.

Not the result we wanted, but there’s a lot to be proud of. We put in a ton of work leading up to this match, and every Scalliwag who took the field played hard, played for each other, and showed plenty of heart from start to finish.

A huge shoutout to the CSU players who came out and helped us fill out the roster. We truly appreciate you stepping in, putting in the work, and battling alongside us.

Thank you to Queen City RFC for a hard-fought match and a great day of rugby. Much respect, and we look forward to seeing you down the road.

To everyone who came out to cheer us on—thank you. Having our supporters on the sideline means more than you know.

And a big thank you to Comrade Brewing Company for sponsoring the Scalliwags and supporting our club. 🍻

We’ll take the lessons from this one, keep putting in the work, and come back stronger. Proud of the effort. Proud of the heart. On to the next one.
