What I Eat in a Day - DATE NIGHT edition 🥡

Being successful in a fitness journey doesn’t mean depriving yourself of experiences & never eating out again.

It means learning how to create balance with what you eat AT home, and how you order at restaurants.

1️⃣PROTEIN FRONT LOAD THE DAY 🍗

Start your day with high protein, lower carb/fat meals to make sure you’re hitting your protein goals, while still leaving room to enjoy later 🥡

2️⃣PLAN YOUR ORDER

🔍search the restaurant menu in advance and plan out your order. I use ChatGPT to help me estimate the calorie & macro values, and I even make adjustments to the meals if needed. (No cheese, sauce on the side, extra chicken, etc)

3️⃣SKIP THE EXTRAS

one meal is not difficult to track & fit into your day. It’s the appetizers, desserts, & beverages that really start to add up 🍷

4️⃣LEFTOVERS

ask for a box to come out WITH the meal, and set 1/2 of it to the side. You’re more likely to over eat and finish the plate if it’s still in front of you. (🙋‍♀️I’m a clean plate girly so I WILL keep going even if I’m already full)

5️⃣TAKEOUT/ORDER IN

Get the same food you love from the restaurant, but bring it home and add your own extra proteins to it. Last night we went to a friend’s house for game night. I ordered my favorite entree, but I brought extra shrimp with me from home to add more protein to the meal! 🍤

And at the end of the day, remember that this is a SKILL you’re learning that will take PRACTICE to master. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it right the first time.

🍕🌮Pizza Tacos

Ingredients:
-80/20ground beef 👉 93/7 ground beef (5oz per taco)
-Can of crushed tomatoes
-Taco seasoning
-Salt & pepper to taste
-Flour Tortilla 👉 could swap this for low carb if you want
-Whole milk mozzarella 👉 28g (per taco) part skim mozzarella
-Pepperoni 👉 4 slices (per taco) turkey pepperoni
-Drizzle of pizza sauce on each taco

Kevin’s original Pizza Taco Recipe calories/macros:

570 calories
24g carbs
41g fat
38g protein

480 calories
24g carbs
23g fat
55g protein

How I got in the BEST shape of my life for my wedding 👰🏻‍♀️👇

What I DIDN’T do:
❌hours of endless cardio
❌extremely restrictive dieting
❌fasting
❌fat burners or cleanses

What I DID do:
✅consistently tracked my food
✅ate in a 15-20% calorie deficit
✅10-12k steps per day
✅90-120 minutes of cardio per WEEK

Fat loss does not need to be complicated.

But you do need to stay consistent and have patience.

The blueprint for GETTING TONED👇

1️⃣ focus on STRENGTH first
2️⃣ eat enough to fuel your muscle growth
3️⃣ after 12 weeks (minimum) of eating at maintenance, slowly lower calories every 4-6 weeks
4️⃣ gradually add in cardio paired with calorie deficit
5️⃣ spend no more than 12-24 weeks in a deficit
6️⃣ reverse diet OUT of the deficit & go back to maintenance
7️⃣ lather, rinse, repeat 🔁

This is the same process I’ve taken myself, & all my clients through!
