We spent the day at the Denver Aquarium to kick off our spring break shenanigans. Getting to see these big fish face to face is just what we need to prepare for the spring fishing season. I think we need to spend a few days chasing these toothy creatures.
Hey Pike fishermen….whats your go to lures? We’ve had luck with spoons but really want to get into the glide bait game.

It’s starting to feel a lot like springtime around our neck of the woods. After work fishing is by far the best thing that comes out of all this daylight savings time mess. My kids may be a mess, but we fished this afternoon so I guess we will take it!
I’m in my Daddy season of life. Getting to see the world with a new set of eyes and enjoying the journey with my kids. It’s such a blessing. Some of the most amazing things in life feel small. It’s okay to want to go to the top of the mountain, just to see what kind of fish you can catch! Getting to do it with these kids, it makes me feel like a kid again too!

These guys are always mixed in with the brookies. They sure keep colorful too. We love to fly fish little beaver ponds and see what we can find. Brown Trout are always a pleasant surprise catch.
Small patterns and slow deliberate presentations are sure to entice a bite!
