As many of us spend the holiday outdoors, with family, friends, and rides under the Colorado sun, we’re reminded that moments like these are possible because of their courage and sacrifice.
From all of us at Denver Century Ride, thank you to those who served and to the families who carry their legacy forward.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

🚴♀️ Big news for Colorado cyclists.
Momentum is building for a long-awaited bike path designed to improve safety along one of Colorado’s most scenic — and dangerous — highways. Projects like this matter. Every new bike lane, trail connection, and protected path helps create a stronger cycling community and safer roads for everyone who rides.
Colorado continues to prove why it’s one of the best places in the country to ride. 🌄
At the Denver Century Ride, we love seeing investments in cycling infrastructure that encourage more people to get outside, explore, commute, train, and experience the freedom of riding on two wheels.
The future of cycling in Colorado is looking bright. 🚲☀️

Denver approves new scooter contract amid safety concerns
Denver has approved a new contract with Veo to become the city’s primary scooter and e-bike provider, replacing Lime and Bird in the coming months. The move aims to improve safety, affordability, and accessibility across the city.
The new fleet will include more seated scooters and bikes, which are linked to about 35% fewer crashes and injuries, along with added safety features like sidewalk detection, lighting, and slow zones. Officials say these changes are meant to address rising injury numbers and make micromobility safer for everyone.
