🥳 Happy World Fencing Day! 🤺
CU Fencing Club has such an amazing community thanks to this sport, and we'd love to have you join us! If you've ever wanted to try fencing now's your chance, we have practice tomorrow (Sunday 9/14) from 11 AM to 1 PM in Ice Overlook Large and we'd love to introduce you to the sport! If you can't make it tomorrow we also have practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, make sure to check out the info highlight on our profile for more details.

📣 IMPORTANT INFO FOR NEW & RETURNING FENCERS‼️

Welcome back, buffs! Practices begin next week but before then we have a couple events.

🤺 First up, this evening (Tuesday, Aug. 26) at 7 pm we have an informational meeting! We'll introduce this semester's officers, talk a bit about our sport and the structure of our club and share some news about upcoming events and competitions. This will be in the medium overlook room in the rec, which is next to our usual room for practice. If you need help finding it there's a map on our story!

🤺 Next is the Be Involved Fair, which is tomorrow (Wednesday, Aug. 27)! CU Fencing will have a table in Zone 3 where we will be doing fencing demos and giving away CU Fencing swag and candy. Come say hi and get a free bookmark!

🤺 And lastly is the thing everyone is most excited for, our first practice of the semester will be next Tuesday, September 2nd at 7 pm! We can't wait to kick off another great semester of fencing!

After doing some quick inventory the club has found a few bags of gear that have been left behind. If you know that you've attended the club in past years and left your equipment please contact us! All equipment that is unclaimed will be treated as a donation!

We hope Everyone had a wonderful summer break! With the school year starting in less than 24 hours, we would just like to let everyone know that our first practice will be held Tuesday, September 4th in our normal location of the large meeting room in the REC.

We would also like to inform you all that there will be a start of year info meeting this Thursday at 7:30 in the medium meeting room adjacent to the large meeting room. Everyone and anyone interested in joining the club is welcome as well as encouraged to come to the meeting

A group of club members went to go represent the CU Fencing Team last Friday and came back bearing great news! In Epee, congratulations to David Dryja for getting first and Quincey Williams and John Clayman for taking third in men's! As well as Bronwen Sandle for taking first in Women's Epee! For Foil, congratulations to David Dryja for taking first, earning two golds in one night! with John Clayman coming in second! Last but not least comes Quincey Williams getting bronze in Sabre! Well fought everyone great job representing CU!

Small PSA to all who are interested! The CU Fencing Club has added another day to meet in the week. On top of Tuesday and Thursday at 7PM. We will also now have practice every Sunday in the same room at 10AM! Hope to see you there!

Yet another astounding fight at the Epee tournament last Thursday! Congratulations to Alan Market for taking first place alongside David Dryja for second and Jessie at third!

The first night of the CU Open was well fought. Congratulations to John C. taking first place as well as David D. and Alan M. For second and third place. Come by this Thursday, February 8th for the Epee competition with a possibility of some Sabre too

Hey sorry I know I said I would be there this week but I'm in a boot again from either tendinitis or a stress fracture so I'm not coming. -Jenna
