Chen-style Tai Chi movement inside the red room installation at the Denver Art Museum.
Ancient sound.
Haunting rhythm.
The body learns to stay calm anyway.
Sink.
Spiral.
Breathe.
Stay centered.

The Calm Inside the Fire:
Inside the red immersive installation at the Denver Art Museum.
Haunting Bidjara vocals repeating “Burdi” — fire.
Six Sealing Four Closing transitioning into Single Whip.
Stillness inside tension. Breath inside noise. Calm inside fire.
Chen-style Tai Chi shaped through decades of study under Master Zhang Xue Xin and Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang.

I didn’t really understand Tai Chi until I trained both sides.
Open and close.
Expand and contract.
Reverse the movement.
This is where yin and yang live inside the form.
The exercises come from the form—and the form reveals the connection.
That’s real Tai Chi.

Most people try to create spiral power with the arms.
But the spiral actually starts in the waist.
As the waist turns, the spiral changes direction—clockwise and counterclockwise—and the arms simply follow that change.
That’s real Tai Chi connection.

The spiral doesn’t begin in the arms.

Watch the direction change.
