Congratulations to our head coach, Joely Christian, on her induction in to the OVA hall of fame!
Joely led Team Ontario to a gold medal at the 2005 Canada Games, an achievement that has now earned her and the team this prestigious honor. We couldn’t be more proud of Joely and the entire team for this remarkable accomplishment.

What do you get when you take 11 athletes with no practice time to US Nationals in Columbus? Hard fought victories and a 28-30 first set loss in our quarter final match that left nothing in the tank for us to rally back, ultimately losing 2-straight to finish 5th in our division. The lessons were big and have helped us set the course for the future. Our primary goal of winning our first match of the tournament was accomplished allowing us to finish 2-1 in our Pool and 2-1 in our crossover playoff pool. So proud of this team of athletes and staff that represented our program.

Que se passe-t-il lorsque vous amenez 11 athlètes sans temps de pratique aux championnats nationaux des Etats-Unis à Columbus? Des victoires difficilement gagnées et une défaite 28-30 en première manche dans notre match de quart de finale. Les longs échanges nous ont épuisés, ce qui nous a mené à perdre la deuxième manche et ainsi terminer 5e de notre division. Les leçons apprises ont été importantes et nous ont aidées à définir la voie à suivre pour l’avenir. Notre objectif principal, qui était de remporter notre première partie du tournoi, a été atteint, ce qui nous a permis de terminer 2-1 dans notre ronde préliminaire et 2-1 dans notre groupe éliminatoire. Nous sommes très fières de cette équipe d’athlètes et du personnel qui ont représenté notre programme.
