Shining light on the shadow next week in the Build Resilient Community workshop with .with.purpose. Join us Thursday, April 16, 6-9PM π this gathering invites us into the courageous and compassionate work of turning toward the part of ourselves we often avoid. We will explore what it means to define power, rooted in love rather than domination, control, or disconnection.

Build Resilient Community is a monthly gathering for collective growth and liberation, where we are actively laying the relational foundation for diverse, interdependent community based on care, accountability, and shared power. Participants gather alongside people of many identities, including race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, class, and beyond, and are asked to come with a commitment to their own healing and an openness to understanding how systemic oppression and colonial violence shape our experiences of belonging, safety, trust, and connection in different ways.
Each session draws from womanist and feminist frameworks, teachings from yoga and land-based practices, and the wisdom of BIPOC artists, healers, activists, and elders, inviting us to untangle from the violence of disconnection and remember our way toward more authentic, liberated ways of being. Held by Sarah Naomi with rotating guest facilitators, you can expect a trauma-informed, consent-based environment where participation is invitational, and difference is engaged with care rather than avoidance, prioritizing curiosity over certainty, listening over fixing, and relationship over perfection.
