Myth or fact? 🤨
Picturing yourself standing at the finish line or on the podium feels great… it just isn’t the only thing that’s going to get you there.
In fact, if you are focusing solely on the final result, you can lead yourself to complacency, causing a decrease in the effort needed to reach the finish line you want to cross so badly.
To get the most out of your visualization, it needs to be process-focused. Meaning, visualize yourself doing the steps, executing the skills, and navigating high-pressure situations. Process-focused visualization fires your brain the same way as if your body were actually doing it.
Utilize BOTH process and outcome visualization. Dream big, see the final result, and still recognize the steps you need to take to get there.
