And weβre off! πͺβ¨
Our Youth Competition Team kicked off the 2026β27 season this weekend with our annual team picnic, followed by the very first rehearsals of the year!
We loved getting our athletes and families together to celebrate the start of a new season, reconnect with teammates, and look ahead to everything this year has in store. π
Now the real work begins! We canβt wait to watch this team build new skills, create new routines, cheer each other on, and grow both in and out of the air over the months ahead.
Hereβs to an amazing season, YCT! π₯³

Kayla has taken aerial classes with Coach Kara .twine for 7 years. This week, Kayla is practicing on trapeze and progressing her S-corset rollups towards three rotations, and beginning to use her hands less and less π
Eventually, these will be no-handed!

Calling all high school aerialists! πͺβ¨
Coach Nadia (.s) is leading a new High School Aerial Level 1/2 class for teens who are brand new to aerial or still building their foundational skills.
Over this 10-week session, students will explore four apparatuses:
β¨ Silks
β¨ Sling
β¨ Lyra
β¨ Trapeze
Students will build strength, confidence, coordination, and body awareness while working on foundational skills like climbs, poses, transitions, inversions, and beginner sequencesβall with progressions tailored to their experience level.
Unlike our semester-long youth classes, this class follows our 10-week session schedule and does not include a showcase. That means more time to focus on skill development, personal progress, and simply enjoying aerial alongside other teens. π
No prior aerial experience required! This class is perfect for beginner- to early-intermediate-level high school students looking for a supportive place to learn, grow, and fly.

β¨ Spin conditioning on Spanish Web β¨
Coach Sarah .bae.bee (spun by Coach Kara .twine) practices spin tolerance conditioning for a bird's nest and a flag on Spanish web. These simple shapes bring the focus of the drill to the spin itself in both inverted and upright orientations, to lay a strong foundation that moves confidently through challenging spins.
