We all have different goals.
For some, it’s weight loss.
For others, it’s building strength, improving how they look, or just feeling better day to day.
But here’s the part most people overlook—
**different goals require different expectations.**
Weight loss might come mostly from nutrition… or a combination of nutrition and exercise.
Changing your physique? That’s going to take both.
Lifestyle changes? That’s a mix too—but with consistency over time.
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all path.
And more importantly…
**there’s no goal without change.**
At some point, you have to ask yourself:
*Am I willing to do the short-term work to get where I want long-term?*
Because the reality is—
what looks “extreme” or “crazy” to someone else
might feel completely normal to someone chasing the same goal. I know this from training for Ironmans- it looks nuts to most but is completely normal to those doing the same.
That’s the difference.
Growth isn’t always comfortable.
Progress isn’t always easy.
But you’re capable of way more than you think.
Set the goal.
Adjust the expectations.
Do the work—even when it feels inconvenient.
You might surprise yourself with what you can actually accomplish.

Most people think strength training is about getting strong.
It is—but not in the way you think. It can be that too but more so for others.
It’s:
• Feeling better in your body
• Moving without pain
• Keeping up with your kids or grandkids
• Not slowing down as you get older and keeping active outside or with hobbies
That’s the real goal.
You don’t need to be in shape to start.
You just need to show up.

A reminder for this week 👇
Strength training isn’t about crushing yourself every workout. Even though it sure is fun to crush them. Your body can't recover from all out all the time.
It’s about building something over time.
What to focus on:
✔ Get a little stronger
✔ Show up consistently
✔ Move well
Support it with:
• Water (more than you think)
Real meals (this is a big one)
If your nutrition is off, your results will be too.
– Protein every meal
– Eat actual meals, not just snacks
– Fuel your body during the day so you’re not starving at night
– Consistency beats “perfect eating”
• Sleep (this is where results happen). It lets you build muscle and help aches and pains recover.
No perfect weeks needed.
Just more consistent ones.
Consistency over time is the tough part. If you need help, just reach out.
